Tested-works. Great for everyone except pros and fat people.
A very acceptable anti static wrist band for 1.50 USDPros: Tested at very close to 1 Mego Ohm (you will not die). Tested to ground-good (your parts will not fry). All connectors seem solid on arrival. Looks like a typical 3-5 dollar wristband.Cons: Will not fit a fat wrist without snapping (and you kind of have to tighten before you put it on for skinny wrists). Telephone wire is not very stretchy, so you will have to stretch it out a bit. Clip to take off for a second is too tight (but probably can be worked). Ships from China (Mine came April 22nd with estimate April 20-May 11).Other thoughts: Mine took a while to come, so I ended up making my own dangerous version without the resistor (old laptop power cord wire connected to aluminum ties shoved into a surge suppressor and taped around my wrist). For safety, power to the room was shut-off (separate ground wires) and the surge suppressor was shut off as well. The one I made actually was easier to work withr, but provides no protection from shock or death when working with hot components.

ITs perfect.
its great for how cheap it was. i think it comfortable yet its really is good for the price. however some down sides it is a snap button which makes it hard to snap on and off from the band. it does smart a little when trying to push it back on with the band on your wrist. however it does smooth out after a few snaps. so it doesn't hurt at all. Other than that i feel the cord could have been a little longer or have more play before being used.Tips: stretch the cord a little before using for the first time to get the full potential of its length so you not fighting with it constantly.as well play with the button for a little while pop it on and off so if you do need to disconnect to use the function you can without fighting with the band.

Serves it's purpose
I would have given this grounding strap 5 stars if the wristband was slightly larger. It does allow it to be adjusted, but still barely fits my wrist on it's largest settings, and I have average or smaller than average wrists. Many techs prefer to wear the grounding strip higher up on their arm so it is more out of the way. That would be impossible with this one. Other than that, it serves it's purpose and the alligator clip is strong so it stays where you clip it without popping off.

excellent price
I'm a shopper, I don't buy a lot but I do very extensive comparative shopping. This was an excellent price $.99 + $4.99 shipping. I saw the same exact item selling for $20 + shipping and handling. I've used it several times and it works perfectly. I've come to realize that more often than not most of these items come from the same factories in China and it is the retailers who determine the price. Amazon is great because you can often see the different prices for the same item. Save yourself a few bucks and spend a few minutes comparative shopping.

I'm not really upset or surprised, but it doesn't work
Wasn't expecting much at this price. Arrived with the wire was broken inside of the insulation somewhere (there was no current flow from the band to the connector). So, obviously it doesn't work as an anti-static band. It does, however, make a very stylish accessory for a night on the town.I think you roll the dice with these. I think you have a 50/50 chance of getting one that works or one that has the problem mine had.The thing is though, everything other than the wire (connectors, ect.) are totally fine. If you want to, you could solder your own wire in place of theirs and this would work just fine. So if you're willing to check it when it arrives and solder in a different wire if need be (not unreasonable to do at this price), then I recommend this.

It works.....
this is the first AS rist band i have bought and im sure it is fine for pulling static build up away from your body but i think there are some finer ones to be bought!i tested it using a volt meter and the connection from the ground to this band is very poor where as just taping a copper wire to your rist would be many times better.

Alright for the price.
You can clearly see the alligator clip was simply stuck on, and it's clear the build quality is very low. Still, you get what you pay for, and I assume it does its job correctly since none of my parts were fried.

Does what it says and I haven't noticed a difference ...
Does what it says and I haven't noticed a difference myself, unfortunately after reading a few reviews I'm scared to use it as they say static can still be delivered. . . I'll just use the age-old grounding method myself.
