4.5/5 Earbuds that are made from sustainable materials!
Well, I got this because I thought it was interesting that earbuds were made from sustainable materials, and also looked cool as well :)Now I am not an audio snob at all. I used to use the earphones that came with the phones. For a while now, I have been using galaxy buds lines (yes I have been a galaxy user for my whole life), and haven’t really had any complaints about audio at all.So my reviews are just how I feel about this as an definitely amatuer.Again, these earbuds interested me for its eco-friendly design. According to their website, these earbuds, with bamboo accents, are combined with recycled plastics and a wood fiber composite. In addition, its charging cable’s braided material is also eco-friendly. How cool is that! Another thing that interested me was that this one has a stem-design unlike galaxy buds lines (yes more like i-pods, still I am standing with galaxy for my phones lol). So as you can probably tell by now, I loved its design and concept behind its material.Another good thing is that the case itself can be charged wirelessly as well, which is a plus for sure. I am using my galaxy wireless charger (for buds) to charge this. And to me, the bass seems powerful enough! ( but again I am not an audio snob at all).Lastly, the mic operates quite well, in that the signal is strong in my experience and didn’t have any issue for communications. Now then why not 5/5? I think it should have had play and pause on-ear control. You have to remove or replace the buds. I mean it’s simple of course, but come on! LolOverall, I got this for its concept behind and cool looking design (wood panel). So I am happy with it!

Battery and Bluetooth Trouble
When I first received these back in May, I had real trouble getting them to pair with my phone, and then, when they did finally pair, they wouldn't connect. After several attempts (over a couple of days) at unpairing and resetting them, I eventually got them to work. This was an irritation, but not hugely problematic. Once I started using them, though, I was a little disappointed by the sound quality given the price tag. On the other hand, the noise cancellation was pretty solid. However a couple of months on from first using them, the earbuds are no longer charging properly. It's as if one isn't connecting, but there seems to be no obvious reason for this. Nothing is broken and there's no dust or debris in the case. I've tried cleaning the connecters, and taking the earbuds out and putting them back into the case multiple times to no avail. Very disappointed that earbuds that cost a pretty penny didn't last more than three months.

Update: Started working again? Stopped working within a week
These earbuds look awesome and sound pretty good, but within a week the right earbud completely stopped working. I can't even try the factory reset because it only registers as a reset with both earbuds in the case, and even when both are in the case, it isn't sensing the right one.Update: So I let the earbuds lose 100% of their charge and when I plugged them in this morning, they work again? Not sure why that happened, but maybe that will help someone else with issues?

Better Than Expected
These earbuds, “Rebel”, made by House of Marley, are actually the 4th set of earbuds/headphones I own by them. House of Marley makes some nice products, made of sustainable materials such as recycled plastic, natural bamboo and solid wood fiber, they are also even delivered in recycled packaging.House of Marley does have a pretty distinct sound, a very nice, strong bass sound without being overpowering and never sounding muddy.Bass is a high point here and noise cancellation is really good as well. These earbuds feel light in hand and fit quite comfortably. I also like the look of these earbuds, they have a nice woodgrain look to them. These have been one of my favorite products by House of Marley so far!

For looks and nothing more
For the first 2 weeks after purchasing, the headphones were as expected reliably. Good sound quality, noise cancellation, etc. After that it all went down hill. First problem to show up was the fact that one of the ears weren’t even charging properly. I was confused as of why so I decided to leave it on charge for the remainder of the day. Next day i went to use the head set, the head set battery level was still at complete 0… Shortly afterwards, the other ear had started to develop problems such as being unable to connect to bluetooth, constantly unpairing and when I decided to reset it, it still was an absolute mess to deal with. I really thought that these head set would have been good quality, something to block out the noise for a decent amount of time too, but boy was I wrong about that. These headphones are indeed all fashion and thats about it. I wish there was a way to get your money back after such a thing happening. Absolutely pointless… They are even at the point where I cant even get them on anymore. Quarter of a star if possible to choose so…

Cool earbuds, infuriating controls
It has been said to death that the sound quality of these earbuds aren't worth the price. I actually think these earbuds are a decent value; what your paying for is the fancy, sustainable, recycled materials. What ruins these earbuds, in my opinion, is the controls. Removing an earbud might pause your song/video, but it also might not. More importantly is the pressure-sensitive controls: why are they even here? These aren't exactly the most ergonomic earbuds, so if you're moving around, you'll often have to push them back into your ear. But thanks to the touch controls, quickly adjusting your earbud with raise or lower the volume, or pause your song, and adjusting your earbud for more than a few seconds will stop what is playing and bring up Bixby.I recommend this brand, but certainly not these particular earbuds. I later bought the House of Marley Positive Vibration headphones, which are MUCH better in every way, for a slightly smaller cost.
