Our house doesn't have a heat source other than a woodstove; so yes, we do have a need for kindling. And, for some reason my husband decided early one morning, "Hey, I think I'll try checking for kindling on Amazon!". And so he did and so he ordered. At 72 I think he was just tired of chopping kindling and to be honest, I think the novelty of buying a box of kindling on Amazon tickled him. That and having recently learned how to shop online has turned him into an Amazon fiend, lol. I think he needs a hobby. So ok... The kindling is nice and dry and catches quite easily. It's also all uniformly cut the same length and width and comes neatly packed in a box and is nice kindling. Buying a box of kindling would certainly be nice for someone with a fireplace and a couple of logs to burn on a nice winter's night.

I use fat-wood to START the fire after I put 3 or so of these over when my log will go. Then I ignite the fat-wood which ignites these which ignite my logs, Easy peasy. I have a 275 year old house with a fireplace and today right this moment it's 21° outside and the inside of my house is about 80 or 82°. Thanks to my fireplace and this product..

The ad is a little misleading because it comes up when you search for fatwood. That being said, it's not fatwood and they do not claim it is. It is very dry kindling that works great to start and keep your fire going. It's quick to light and burn. There's an ample supply of it too. I wish the pieces weren't quite so long, but that's okay. I probably won't buy them again as fatwood is my go to, but as an alternative, it's not too bad.

Stay away. Searched solo stove and this came up. These things are ginormous hubs had to cut them. They burn fast. I'm not satisfied.
