Pretty much mandatory for me to use something like this ...
Pretty much mandatory for me to use something like this to label my control panel wires. Fits well on AWG #18-12 type MTW or THHN wire. I don't know of a better solution. I have had one reel jam midway through, but probably 20+ reels that worked just fine. Much better price than say Grainger.

The cartridge jammed shortly after dispensing began. It had to be removed from the printer and the bobbin for the print-transfer ribbon was rotated manually to take up the excess slack. Printing resumed satisfactorally after that.

Sometimes these labels will malfunction about 3/4 of the roll. Kinda expensive for what you get. But they do install well
