Gold 12AX7 / ECC803S, Matched Pair

I bought these years back. Still working, were easy to put in art mpaii preamp. If you're replacing Chinese stock vacuum tubes, these are very good.

On the recommendation of other reviewers, I replaced the stock Chinese tubes in my ART Pro MPA II mic pre with these and... WOW! What an incredible difference. These tubes provide very full low end, clear mids and a very nice, detailed high end. You really discover how mediocre the stock tubes on when you upgrade. I highly recommend these and be sure to get a matched pair if your preamp has two channels.

Well, have you ever heard Pantera's Cemetary Gates on Tung-Sol Gold 12AX7's? They sound great as soon as you plug your preamps holes with these little gold pins. These little guys were a great upgrade for me, hands down a great purchase. Super crisp, perfect depth, plus the highs OMFG. Honestly they make my speakers sound like RIP Dimebag is playing right here for me. If you don't have any friends, buy these and you may get at least one.

Matched pair sounded amazing right away. Much better than the stock tubes in my EQs. First time rolling tunes so I was very pleased.After about 3 months 1 tubes started acting up (after much swapping and testing to make sure it was in fact the tube).I was out of warranty but contacted Viva Tubes anyway and they were kind enough to send me a replacement and they even made sure it match my existing tube!Very rare in this day and age. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Highly recommended.

I'm not that hugely experienced with tubes, but am a Hi-fi nerd. These are a step up in dynamics overall and bottom end from the tubes that came in my Pro-Ject tube box S. The high end is similar- based on memory. Hard to A/B tubes, but it they definitely helped bass.Imaging, "air" around instruments, etc. all excellent- but that was there with the stock tubes. Worthwhile upgrade, for not much $$ and I'll always have the stock ones if I sell the phono amp off, or need a spare in a hurry.

One of them burned out after about 5 hours of use. I got my money back but I would rather have had the tubes.

These replaced my stock Mesa M Pulse 12AX7-A's.What a difference. I recorded a sample before and after I switched them.The clarity and depth are unbelievable. Well worth the price.
