Oxford Mini Dictionary and Thesaurus 2nd Edition

I bought two of these after reading other reviews and am glad I did. It's fat, but it holds a lot of information. The thesaurus is not in a separate section but is included in the dictionary section. If you need to find another word for example, "beacon", then you would look up "beacon" in the dictionary section and the thesaurus would be underneath the definition portion. I gave one each to my kids for school use and it's easy to fit into a backpack pocket.

It is, in deed, SMALL but jam-packed with content in tiny 3pt. text. Handy to have, but I'll be looking for the bigger Oxford dictionary & thesaurus for desk use. If you plan on purchasing this pocket-size otherwise excellent dictionary & thesaurus, put a good quality magnifying glass in the cart too.

It’s almost 2 inches thick. Thesaurus in the front, dictionary in the back. Small print, obviously. Paper back, thin pages. Decent cover/binding, not sure how it will hold up to constant use yet.Lot and lots of useful words!

This book is smaller which can be nice. Easy to carry

For those who are looking for a good Pocket Dictionary, this is it. It is Queen's English, however, it does identify both American and European English standards when conflicts arise.And note, the Mini is a pocket dictionary, the Pocket is a mini dictionary... Confusing, especially for a dictionary...

I bought this for my boyfriend who loves to write poetry and music. He swore up and down he didn't need it, and now it's all worn on the binding and constantly at arms reach when he's writing. I use it quite a bit myself. Even though it's a "mini," we've never had an an issue finding what we need.
