Old Testament Made Easier - Boxed Set

I wish I had known about this book a long time ago. I've struggled to read my scriptures regularly for years and, when I do, am sometimes confused by language and context. I felt I was not getting all I could from my reading. I happened upon these books while browsing on Amazon and my scripture reading experience has changed forever! I understand so much more than I used to while reading; especially the Old Testament. I am retaining stories and information like never before and am seeing symbolism in the pages of the text. Quite to my surprise, I've developed a consistent reading schedule because I look forward to daily study now. I also ordered the Book of Mormon boxed set and read this in the evenings because, again, I now follow the story line with much more understanding and interest. Thank you, David Ridges.

I love these series of books! They make studying the scriptures so much easier and the author adds so much detail with other scriptural references to enhance the learning of what you are trying to read. The fact that he includes the actual scriptural verses and adds notes to them, and bolds to add more makes the perfect study guide. I have these for all of the standard works of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They are my go-go books for in-depth scripture study.

Makes it possible to liken the scriptures to ourselves. It doesn't have everything the Bible does. This is a STUDY GUIDE not a substitute or sole resource in place of the Bible.The package was a little beat up and the outer box has some lightly crunched corners but the books are in perfect condition.

I've attended an institute class for the Old testament once before. This time I'm using Ridges guide and I'm really enjoying it. I think he has some insights that aren't in the institute manual so it's been a great tool. Several people in my class are using it this time around and are enjoying it.

I love this series. Using the BoM version helped me immerse myself in the scriptures. I can’t wait to use the Old Testament set for the 2022 CFM curriculum.

Explains many parts of the Old Testament so well. Does not have a complete set of Old Testament books due to saving space. It’s meant to be a study guide for that specific years lesson and not a replacement to scriptures.

These books are great! David J Ridges is a wonderful author. His books gives a better understanding of scriptures and will help anybody during their studies. Buy all of his books 📚 if you can.

An amazing work - it provides a deep understanding of the Old Testament and broadens one's perspective about this important portion of the Lord's plan for his children. It breathes life into the past and connects it with the future.
