These cake containers were ordered to place homemade cakes in for a church bake sale. It is easier and more sanitary to secure them in the containers before leaving the house. Being clear on the top allows the customer to see if the cake is what they want to purchase. We consider these containers as disposable so the cake can be transported/handled with minimal effort. We place the cakes themselves on disposable cake boards and then into the containers. This makes for a very simple and straightforward way to transport them. Will definitely purchase again as needed

This is just what I needed. It accommodates my 10 inch layer cakes. They seem to be relatively sturdy. They are pretty pricey, but it is very hard to find a container to hold a 10 inch cake so I had to bite the bullet price wise.

I'm disappointed in the quality of the lid and bottom. The moment you pop the lid down to lock it the plastic splits a little because it is so thin now. You have to be so careful with both pieces. I also buy this same unit from another retailer and find the same problem so it is obviously the manufacturer trying to cut cost by making the plastic as thin as possible. Its not easy to find this size so I feel stuck until I find another manufacturer, these unit cases are the best to keep your customers cakes fresh.

These are the type of plastic cake carriers you might find at a bakery when purchasing a cake. Nothing special about them other than they work. I'm a baker (not professionally) and send pies and cakes home with my dinner guests. But I'm always at a loss for how to pack up the cake without sending out my cake plate (and risking not having it back in time for when I need it). These cake carriers are the answer. They will hold the cake in-tact (I put my cakes on a cardboard round so it's easy to move the entire cake from cake plate to the cake carrier); protect the cake; and I don't need to worry about getting the container back. They can keep it. Problem solved!
