Is this latch reversible for left hinge outward swing install?

I used for outward swing but think it’d be fine for inward too.

Is there something I can attach to the inside lever to make it easier to raise when exiting?

I added a d & d handle to the inside- $5 black or $6 white on Amazon/ $10 at orange big box store. Though it doesn't help the opening mechanism, it greatly assists pulling the gate open while manipulating the closer lever. 100% better operation!
