What wattage soldering iron is best to use with Silvergleem?

As a guy I would say, as much wattage as humanly possible,then 10% more; but I bought the solder for my sister, she goes by temp capability. For silver glee, a modulated iron that goes to 900 degrees. The solder melts at 450 degrees. Hope this helps.

Does the silvery finish resist tarnishing? How long? What have you polished it with?

Hello Billie,The solder does stay quite silvery.The actual silver content is not very high, unlike standard silver solder, so you don't get tarnishing like you would see on sterling silver items. Novacan Black magic Patina does nicely, polish with Liva stained glass polish for a nice shine.
