The Cat Ladies Cat Grass Refill Kit 100% Organic 3 Pack

This product to me is incredible. I purchased a full kit some time ago and am just now having to purchase a refill for it. Still amazed everytime I add water to such a small amout of the soil as to just how much it literally grows into. But this refill size is perfect for the for container I received with the first kit. These seeds develop super quick as well and my babies, my "cats" both love this probably more than any treat or cat food I have ever given them. In fact Storm, my male cat knows exactly when I planted it, where I put it and watches it every single day to see if it's grown enough yet so he can get into it. "I am so, not making that up." Lol I even forgot where I put it the other day and asked him where did I put that catnip & he is literally sitting right about it near my sink which is where my bay window is & is poking at the ceran wrap I had on top of the planter. My husband was always amazed with him because he said he understands absolutely everything you say. Well? Yes they both do. Call it a gift, every animal I have ever had listens to me because I talk to them exactly as I would a human being. I almost gave a 4 star on the little wooden container, but chose not to because it may have been my fault. It is sturdy but is made of wood. I noticed this time, it did allow a little water, not much to seep through the bottom. So I simply put a paper towel underneath it which absorbed the little excess. Not a problem since I did that. So the container does function well. Just be careful to not put too much water in it. Not sure what to say about the plant variety? It's catnip, cats love catnip. Mine certainly love this since they cannot go outside to eat grass which they will do if they are trying to hack up a furball or have an upset stomach. Mine love celery leaves as well. In fact I have to literally keep moving it because they act as though it were cat nip. But I have recommended this item to a few people and plan to share a bit with my sister who has 3 cats. May get her one as a gift actually. But this works perfectly, it does last a few weeks and guaranteed it is something I know mine love and will eat. The price seems fair for what you get. I still had seeds left over from the first full kit. And now have plenty more. Would be nice if perhaps you could get 5 pods of the dirt because you get a lot of seeds which is very nice. I highly recommend for anyone with a cat or cats, they will love it and thank you for it. Shipping is fast & if you have a Storm like mine, just be mindful you are watching it more than he does. He is ready for this new batch and I am thankful to have it. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful supplement for cats. I wish I had taken a video of him pointing out to me where it was. That would have been so cool for people to see how 1 cat is a #1 fan of this product. Maybe I will get lucky and catch one, one time. Lol

I initially bought this pet grass with the Hello Kitty mug, and have bought the refills many times since then. Both of my cats have their own Hello Kitty mug, and when the grass starts looking faded I throw the old one in the garden so the nutrients can release as they decompose, and then start a fresh "crop" of kitty grass. It's super simple: wash out the mug, mix the little soil pallet with 6 oz. of warm water, put it in the mug except a bit to cover over the seeds. Then I add the premeasured pack of seeds, sprinkle the remaining soil over the top, and loosely cover with plastic wrap and place under a table in my orchid room. (You don't need to put it in an orchid room, any room will do. But this is my growing space so it's easiest for me.)In a couple of days, the new grass is sprouting up. I take off the plastic wrap and give it a day or two of light, then voila! A fresh batch of cat grass for my little darlings. Cat grass helps their digestion and they really love to eat it. I've never been the greatest at growing things from seed, but the Cat Ladies give you everything to guarantee success. This is a great product!

Always sprouts nicely per planting directions. Been using for years. Excellent quality ans my car goes to his grass, and does not bother other house plants.

So why only four stars? You pay a premium for the convenience. Plus, there's a whole lot of packaging, so not very a very "green" product (not counting the grass seeds, wink!). Once I've used up my current package, I plan to buy a bag of cat grass seeds and use potting soil I already have, which will be WAY cheaper.

I make a “cake” of this every two weeks. Makes enough soil and each packet comes with enough seed for me to make two small containers of grass for my cat (imagine the containers are like the size of cream cheese tubs, about 4” across.) so I only need one box every 6 weeks. Reliable seeds that always grow and the dirt is so clean and free of any impurities. Good product. I’ve bought this multiple times now

My cats love this, and it grows ez in about two weeks. Had some seeds from this same brand from two years ago and it still spout without any problems.

The planters are clever, and our indoor cat loves the fresh grass.

I bought this product originally in the mug which was great. Grew fast, cat loved it. However, when I purchased the replacements, all 3 of them have grown in with mold in the soil. At first I thought it was me over watering but it happened the 2nd and 3rd time too. The 2nd replacement I grew barely came out at all. Not as good as the one that came with the original mug.
