IsoAcoustics zaZen Series Isolation Platform 17" W x 15" D: zaZen I (25 lbs max)

I wasn't very positive about how much if any at all that this could change my sound but I'm stunned. I have a small space and cerwin Vega D7s right next to my turntable and I could feel the vibrations and hear how muddy my sound was. Well this fit my fit my thorens 160 perfect and the sound is amazing. Bass is tighter and sounds more clearer in all aspects. Having one of these is a must in a loud sound area for your turntable. 👍

This platform does a very nice job of isolating my Rega Planar II from the floor and speaker vibrations associated with playing music at volume. It also allows the Grace F9 cartridge to perform very well; giving a nicely defined sound image. Very understated looks but quite massive construction. Pleased with this addition to my listening room.

J'ai placé sur la plateforme un lecteur BR (Magnétar 800) pour l'isoler des vibrations, on ressent les vibrations du lecteur quand il tourne. La plateforme semble bien filtrer les vibrations provenant des haut parleurs et beaucoup moins les vibrations provenant du lecteur lui même. Une très légère amelioration de l'image et du son.

Being honest, I really felt that there is some snake oil being sold for this product after reading online reviews. To see things about improving clarity, reducing noise, helping imaging, etc - felt like a bit of a bunk.In my case, I bought this to help with a different situation. Unfortunately in my older house, I have some slightly sagging floors and in some spots there's a bit more bounce if you walk heavily. Even more unfortunately one of those spots is near my hi-fi stand with turntable. If you walk normal or light on your feet, no problem. But if there's any heaviness in the activity around the turntable, it's bound to skip. And with an over-excitable 95 lb dog, that's difficult to prevent. I tried a number of other bumpers, feet, etc - and while they helped, still was quite susceptible.I saw the one review here that talked about how it helped to stabilize their setup, so thought I'd give this a shot. Holy heck - what a difference. Being frank - it's not perfect. Yes, if I jump my big butt up and down a couple feet from the turntable it still skips. But this has ironed out all reasonable situations now. I was truly floored at the difference.On top of this, I am quite sure I hear some sonic improvements as well. Yes, maybe my ears (and wallet) wants it to be better, so perhaps it's influencing me. But it's proving tough to disregard. Regardless, the physical improvements which are undebatable in my cynical mind are worth the price alone. Sonic improvements are the cherry on top for me. Strongly recommend.
