It does what a burger press is supposed to do and does it well!The perfectly sized heat resistant wood handle is sturdy and designed to not loosen or spin around annoyingly when the screws loosen! I have a brand name BBQ company one that's oblong shaped but the crossbar screws are constantly loosening so controlling it is maddening when trying to control it!The smash surface is not only the perfect size for Smash Burgers but most importantly, it's a smooth flat face! Good luck finding another brand that doesn't have spikes or grooves!This brand costs a little more than the others I looked at but they have 'features' that are frankly totally inappropriate for making your own authentic restaurant quality smash burgers.Edit: It comes with a small supply of perfectly shaped and sized parchment paper 'discs'.My ONLY gripe about this product would be:1) The very small number of discs included. Sure I can just tear off a bit of parchment from a roll, and I will when I have to but...2) I didn't see any option on the product page to order more. I'd like to have at least 100-200 on-hand.

Wow! Impressed nice cast iron easy to clean

Solid construction. Used this to make smash burgers and it worked perfectly. I absolutely love that it came with circular parchment paper ready to go for smashing. The detailed thought behind that is really great. It’s heavy but not overly heavy so if you want paper thin patties you do need to put alittle muscle and smear behind it. Would recommend this to other smash enthusiasts

This is a very well made, heavy, and durable patty press! The size is perfect. I also like the wooden handle and the material used. Finally we achieved that perfect, flat, and crispy smashburger patty with this product.

Works really great for smashing burgers, but after a few uses the handle started to get a little loose. Doesn't seriously affect it's functionality and not the end of the world, but just could have been built a bit sturdier. Overall one of my most used kitchen tools!

Sturdy! Love the weight.

This is a game changer! I make smash burgers regularly but was using a glove and styrofoam plate before to press down the meat. This has made my life a lot easier in the kitchen and the quality is top notch.
