Danielson Quick Release Frog Spear-Telescoping Handle

I’m using this frog spear to recover trash and plastic bottles along a foot bridge in my subdivision. It works great, the expanding pole is nice for carrying the spear and storing it. The only issue, I bent one of the tines on something hard, maybe concrete under the mud. The tine broke when I tried to bend it back so I’m looking to replace the spear head. I want to get the heavier fish spear head as a replacement, not sure which brand. I wish I had this frog spear when I was a kid and gigging frogs back in the day!

The gig length extends to just shy of 8 feet long. It's light weight and easy to extend. I took my 8-year old frog gigging with it. She was able to get a few frogs on her first trip. For an adult, there were a couple times I wished it extended a couple more feet. However, it did a good job with gigging and retaining the frogs. I recommend getting an extra head or two in case you hit a rock. It held up well on my first trip though.

The handle is nice, but the gig is very poorly made. Mine broke a tine off just removing from the package with scissors.

Works awesome like it's supposed to! Can't wait to jump in my kayak this spring and gig some frogs 🐸

I like it good pole design don't have to worry just slide out and go no missing holes with locking pins because of round pole designs these are hex shaped
