Small, well engineered, and inexpensive.
I bought this to keep in a sports car that has very limited room and am very happy with my purchase. It fits snugly in the small door pocket during the wet months and stores nicely in the glovebox when not needed.I have not had to test it in the rain yet, but the construction is very sturdy and the engineering is such that I have confidence it will do well in high winds. There was a review complaining that their umbrella didn't automatically retract. It should be known that the 'close' button will only collapse the canopy when it is open, you still need to retract the pole. This is true with all auto open & close umbrellas.Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Read all the reviews and buy it
Fantastic buy. This umbrella really has impressed me in the time since I purchased it as it is pretty damn solid for what I paid for it.I did my research on this, as many of you are doing right this very moment, and I say buy it. The little rivets are rusting a bit, yes. It may not fit in your little purse. Your bichonaranian puppy is probably freaked out when you open it, not sure what he thinks of the rivets when you store it in the purse the umbrella wont fit in because the pooch is in the purse as well... lose the dog as he isn't very rain repellent. The umbrella is very well built, minor rivet rust aside, and very easy to use for most people. It snaps open very fast and the spring loaded ribs of the canopy are quite solid and resist winds very well. Even if it does flip outside there is no damage. The most impressive feature of the umbrella is how quickly the canopy will snap closed with a second press of the handle button, make sure you tilt the umbrella away from you as it will leave water on the ground when the canopy collapses. My final observations regarding the one button opening and closing of the umbrella, and reset -Opening - The button requires a very firm button press to trigger. Odds are there will be no "accidental" deployment and when it deploys, it will be in the matter of a couple seconds. It could possibly injure someone or yourself, be sure it is pointed away from you and anyone else when you deploy it.Closing it - The same button requires a very firm button press to trigger. The umbrella canopy closes just as fast as it opens, any water on the canopy will instantly fall to the ground when the canopy almost instantly disappears..make sure it is not over you.Resetting - Unfortunately it is not mechanically possible to press the button and have the canopy open again after closing it, you need to reload the mechanism by pressing the now closed umbrella canopy back towards the base of the umbrella, and that resets the umbrella springs so you can press to deploy, press to collapse the canopy. The umbrella has a sturdy plastic tip in the center of the canopy, you can actually press it against the ground or wall to reset it easily without worry of damage. If you have arthritis in your hands you may have hard pressing the button.Edit 12/2/2017Well after a few months of use one of the small knuckles on a rib somehow got bent and broke. I emailed Tiago gear a picture of the knuckle and and a copy of my invoice and they replaced the umbrella at no cost, using 2 day shipping.I am very happy with Tiago Gear overall.Edit 10/12/2018It has been a wet fall here in the northeast and the replacement umbrella Tiagogear sent me last year is still in my possession and performing great. I have been using it a lot as of late and I remembered that I had an issue with my first purchase many moons ago, they replaced it really fast, and Im still using it today. If you are gonna buy an umbrella, make it this one. If it fails they will replace it real fast and it is worth it. Product, service, cost.. worth it.

Excellent product and great price for most teens and adults
I like this umbrella a lot. I got two, one for me and one for my adult son. The classic looks, sturdiness, and one hand opening and collapsing of the umbrella tent is very practical. I like that it won't look dated soon. Unless you want your umbrella to stand out and not get confused with anyone else's, the black is great; even then, you can add a bright ribbon to show it's yours. When you push the button for it to collapse, it collapses the tent part but doesn't fully shorten. You have to use your two hands with the umbrella horizontal and push them together hard to get it to shorten so you can wrap the tab and replace the cover. If you are not reasonably strong, this might be a little challenging. For me, I couldn't do it when I held the umbrella vertically. But, when I held it horizontally as shown in their instructions, I could do it without much difficulty. I think this is fine for most people. However, children and an adult who is a little weaker such as possibly an elderly person might have difficulty shortening it. They could still use it without shortening it, however. It's a good umbrella. That is the reason I took a star off. However, for me, I'd rather have this umbrella with it's excellent features and have to exert myself a little to fully shorten it after use than have a lesser umbrella or pay a lot more.Overall, this is an excellent umbrella for an excellent price. Just not for young kids or elderly who might have less strength in their arms than the average adult. Great for most people including teens who are close to adult sized.

A great umbrella for the price
This umbrella is very compact and served me very well in college. The cheap price means that if it lasts me a few months I'm totally fine with that, but this thing did more than that, and I expect to use it at least through the next year. Rochester has a lot of rain, so this thing gets frequent use by me when I have to walk to class. Highly recommend if you need a cheap umbrella that will last a few years. The only gripe I have with it is that the mesh on the top could be of a bit higher quality, as it started to fray after a few months, but did not impeded its functionality.

Cheap, throw away umbrella worth no more than $10, definitely not wind resistant
The over all size of the umbrella is good if you are looking for a very small, compact design because you hate carrying bulk around like me.That's where the positives end. After 3 uses of this umbrella it finally caught enough wind to flip inside out. This one and only time was enough to to break one of the plastic arms which connect to the metal. Now one side of the umbrella is partially collapsed.I've had cheaper, less than $10, and much more expensive umbrellas hold up to more wind and more flips. Would not recommend this to anyone.Once enough of the arms collapse, which I am sure they will with the slightest agitation, this will be in the trash.
