Great anko with classic flavor and texture
Used this anko (koshian style) to fill mochi today. It has the classic, authentic red bean flavor and texture I remember and had hoped for! I tried this brand due to the clean ingredient list. My son and I are very pleased with the delicious results of this product. Might try to replicate a dorayaki next. : )

Very nice quality
This is the only bean paste I’ve ever tried off of Amazon and I was really nervous to try buying some thing like this but overall, I really liked the taste, and it came to me in very good condition. I do think the price is usually about two bucks more compared to a market but if you do not have a local market in your area, this is not a bad price. Would recommend to use this for any sort of Japanese desserts are making that involve it or even for dip for things like strawberries.

Super yum
Looks just like the photo, after opening the red bean— I recommend to keep it in a jar inside the fridge. The package isn’t zip lock so it’ll stay fresh for longer if you put it inside a container. The flavor is great! Taste just like what it’s suppose to be, red bean! The texture of mine was quite smooth and you are also able to scoop it into balls to put in homemade mochi! Not too sweet either, the flavor is very comparable to store bought mochi that had red bean inside

Great for hopia!
The media could not be loaded. The Koshian red bean paste is just what I wanted to make Filipino hopia with. It’s thick, tastes great, and as expected with Asian desserts, lightly sweetened. It’s about 18 ounces and the two packages I received expire April 2024. I will only use one and vacuum seal the second one and freeze it. I have previously made red bean paste at home and I really didn’t like that I couldn’t get it to be super smooth even with my Breville food processor. This package is worth ($16.80 per bag at time of purchase) having it pre-made and save me time.

too sweet
way too sugary and doesn’t taste fresh. best if used to make red bean steamed buns or . i usually like to have anko with milk bread or yogurt or by itself, but this is too sweet. there’s another brand that tastes much better but is around $20 per bag—worth it, though.
