Great candle. I was thinking it was a gimmick at first.The smell is not like a campfire though. It has patchouli in it that doesn't make the smell like a campfire. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad smell. Just doesn't create a smell like you are Fireside.I like the fact that it's long lasting. Great candle for the price. Will more likely to find other smells for my next purchase.

Picture this, you’re in a cabin, snow is falling all around and you just lit yourself one of the coziest fires in the fireplace to snuggle up to. Now, that’s the smell you get from this candle. Smells like the smoke from a nice cedar wood fire, without the gagging or coughing from the smoke getting in your eyes and definitely without that stale smoke smell lingering on your clothes. Perfect to light on crisp fall nights when you’re not quite feeling like burning a ton of wood.

I bought this candle "Fireside" specifically because I wanted to smell a fireplace scent during Christmas. The white candle is set in an all black thick plastic (?) container with a wood wick and black screw top lid. The company label on the outside is a sticker. It is very simple and masculine looking. Unfortunately, because the container is solid black, you can't see the flame glowing inside or lighting up the container, like in most clear glass candles. You miss the ambiance and feel of a beautiful burning candle. It's just a small black jar sitting on your table. The candle is very small for the money, 3.75" tall, but worst of all it has absolutey NO scent at all. I mean no scent. And I have a very sensitive sniffer. I was surprised when I couldn't smell the candle through the box or through the thick brown paper packaging or even when I stuck my nose on it. Even after it had been burning in my closed bedroom for over two hours, I still could not smell anything but the burning wick. It also had quickly burned down about 20% during that time. I'm so disappointed that I spent $I8 on a candle that has no scent, rendering it useless, since I can't even give it away. Such a waste of money.

✅ PROS—- gorgeous craftsmanship and presentation: every detail, from the matte black box, and jar, to the cloth label and reusability, is outstanding.- would make an amazing gift for men- scent is classic, true to the scent profile and notes that are identified- wood wick: nice soft crackling like a fire❌ CONS—- the jar itself gets piping hot to the touch. be careful when handling.- the scent strength is just not there: the sent does not carry, even in a small room with a fan, not does it last long or longer after the candle has been extinguished. its disappointing.- burns down extremely fast: had the candle burning for only 4 hours, and more than half of the candle is now gone.OVERALL: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5)—scent is gorgeous, and presentation is beautiful. details are amazing, and its definitely giftable. if you prefer subtle, barely there kind of scents, that are rustic, outdoorsy, and earthy, it's perfect. but if you're expecting a strong, present scent that lingers, this misses the mark.

Great fragrance, burned a long time

Smells wonderful!

I purchased this candle, and was excited about the fragrance and the sleek look. But after burning it for a few hours, there was next to no scent. You could sit right next to it and smell almost nothing. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement. The second one was not much better. The scent is the most expensive part of any candle and clearly there was very little in here which explains the price point. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. If they ever made this candle with a decent amount of perfume it would be so much better.

The first evening I sat down to light this beautifully simple candle was a cold fall night. I had just arrived to my tranquil residence after a long 3 hour shift at work. I was dog tired for my grueling day and found solace in the tiny warm glow of the flame. As the aroma of the campfire infused candle filled my room I was immediately transported. I was mentally sent back to a time when goblins and orcs roamed to lands. I felt like our forefathers (George Washington, Abe Lincoln and Frodo Baggins) sitting around a warm fire resting my eyes as I dozed off into a peaceful slumber. As I awoke I had realized the candle had caught fire to my curtains the hang in front of my beautiful bay window. I quickly rose to the task of snuffing out the fire and returning my home to the safe state I found it in. After the commotion had settled I realized the lovely smell of the candle was still in the room. As I sat back down to enjoy the sent of adventure and wonder this candle provides I rested and found peace knowing that a new adventure is right around the corner.
