ZAP IT! Bug Zapper Rechargeable Bug Zapper Racket, 4,000 Volt
Two bug zappers are in this order. The zapper is 19" long and the wire part is roughly 9" x 8". I own two other brand zappers. This is about the same size as the others. I would only get this size, the smaller size would not be as useful. There is a switch that you need to turn on first then another switch to press on to activate the zapper. I guess a good safety way but the main switch is really not needed. This model has a built in flash light. It is not very useful. Too small of a light. Seems like I'm accidentally turning it on often. Would be better without the flashlight.I would say the zap potential is about equal to other zappers. This one sounds sparky but it doesn't zap any better. It will knock a normal house fly down but not kill it. The fly will get back up and fly away in a minute or so. However i think the zap given depends on what touches the metal screen. In the case of a live fly the wings are the part that gets the zap. I believe if the body of the fly touched the screen it would kill the fly on contact. But that rarely happens. With yellow jackets or wasps the same story, the wings get zapped and it only knocks them out for a minute. But usually you can get to the bug to zap again. If the bug gets stuck on the screen then it will zap continually and a red glow will ignite the fly and burn it quickly.I have been using this zapper to kill fruit flies. It works really well to get those really small bugs. Much better then any other means. It kills fruit flies and leaves no dead bugs. I guess it burns them on contact.Overall, worth getting, helps catch small bugs that you can't easily catch. And it kills the yellow jacket inside the house better than using a fly swatter.

Work great!
These work great. Definitely get the bigger size though. Smaller one works well too but just find myself more often using the larger one

Best I've tried
I have been using these personal zappers for years. My old ones were like tennis rackets, heavy with a C battery. Then I graduated to ones that recharged by plugging in. When I saw this plugged into USB I was in for the twin packs. I was a bit disappointed when they came since the zappers are much smaller than I am used to but boy do they work! I realized bigger was not better. These are lighter, easier to handle and best of all recharge so easily. I have one in every room of my house, on my deck and my office. We have LOTS of bugs in Florida. The paperwork that comes in the package says they have a "lifetime guarantee". Well, one of mine no longer zapped. The flashlight worked, the charge was taking but no zap. I contacted the seller through Amazon. They emailed me & told me all the positions the little switches needed to be in & I said they were but still no zap. Then then they asked to send pics which I thought was odd because how do you show no zap? Well, I emailed 2 pics showing the little switches & the next day I had a new set FedEx'd to my house!!! They stand by their product.

This size is practically useless...
I've used other rackets like this in the past and was very happy with how well and easy it was to kill mosquitoes. I saw a good deal on these 2 racquets and regret not at least getting the size above these. These are so small that it is much harder to use effectively. In addition to that, I've seen mosquitoes go through this racquet and not get zapped. Not sure what that's about but I even had one land on my arm, placed the racquet on top of it, and watched it escape through the racquet. In a period of time where mosquitoes were most prevalent, I only got 3 kills. I'm sure the size of the racquet has a lot to do with that, but small mosquitoes seem to go through unscathed. We haven't had much rain in months now and the mosquitoes have died down. Will revisit on this review if my opinion changes on it.

Defective Batteries
The rackets were great when they still held a charge. The product itself feels cheap, especially with all of the unnecessary features crammed in. When I first received the product, I made sure to charge both rackets. Despite this, one of the rackets didn't last longer than three uses before dying. Two months later, and the other racket died after a single use, despite prior charging. I can only assume that the rechargeable batteries are defective. As a first-time customer, I think this is unacceptable quality assurance from ZAP IT!

Most fun you can have slaughtering pesky bugs
Mostly my daughter and wife use these, and I get to watch. These things work great, but mostly they are a blast. There's just something fun watching an annoying fly get caught and sizzling, with tiny fireworks. Sometimes if you get a bunch of gnats or something at once, you get a satisfying sound. (Oh, my wife and daughter sometimes do this together. They call it The Swat Team.Go for it. it's very entertaining.

Botón defectuoso
La batería carga de manera correcta, el problema es que el botón que activa la descarga mata-mosquitos al principio funciona bien pero con el tiempo deja de funcionar.Una pena, el producto es bueno, pero queda inútil al poco tiempo.
