Adaptable and stretchy
I haven’t used these properly yet but I think they will be perfect for protecting my thighs from bruising in my sailing dinghy. I love that you can remove the bits of padding you don’t need and they seemed really flexible and lightweight when I tried them on.Exactly what I need!

Great and resilient product.
Excellent product. Good fit with good coccyx protection. Worn a few times now without any degradation or reduction in the quality of protection material.

Good protection over hips and bum; fit well under trousers. Check sizing carefully
Good for ice skating (worn under trousers).I bought these shorts for ice skating protection, planning to wear them under trousers. I have found them to be ideal for that use, once I got the right size. The shorts have a range of pads spread across the leg, hip and coccyx (bum) area. Each pad is pretty large and they're not too bulky. I thought that they gave reasonable protection to all areas. All of the padding is removable by manoeuvring it through small holes on the inside of the shorts (I haven't tried yet). There is no drawstring or fly but they pull on/off easily enough and are comfortable enough to wear - I forgot that I was wearing them when driving and skating. I didn't feel that they restricted my movements nor felt overly warm (but I was ice skating). I did notice the warmth once I took them off.I would suggest that you check the sizing carefully. I have a 32/33 inch waist (as measured with a tape measure) and the Small shorts were the right size to wear under trousers. The padding is not so bulky that trousers felt tight. I understand that other people wear them over trousers, but I didn't attempt this.Build quality seems good and in general these may be a reasonable pair of protective shorts depending on your activity.

Very strong
I use these shorts as a goal keeper. I used to have a different pair but it broke fairly quickly and wasn't really protecting my hips enough. This product here, however, is built very well and I can dive as much as I want without having to worry about hurting my hips. They are a bit bulky and take a little bit of time to get used to due to the strong padding, but in return you get fantastic protection. Highly recommended.

Time will tell
The good:Comfortable fitSizing is accurateShorts are not restrictive, very flexible.Fabric is thin and not bulky. The unsure:The foam is very firm - sitting on the hard floor rolling my tailbone area It is still pretty hard and I feel like a slam may not be softened much.Hope I don't have to test that theory. The bad:Washing/Care - It says to handwash in cold water which is okay, but you need to remove the foam padding. There is only a very small tight hole to get each of the pads out of, I took 1 out to test and I was then struggling for 10 minutes to get it back in. There's 9 pads... worried that when it comes to washing them it's going to be a time-consuming chore.

Perfect fit, medium, 30" waist 172cm tall
I am a 30inch waist, 172cm (5'9") and these Medium fit perfect! I am super happy with them. Deliberately fell a few times on the quarter pipe (and accidentally slipped backwards on the bowl) and not once did it hurt, and rhe fall backwards should have given me a nasty bruise on my hip, (or a banged coccyx had I not controlled my fall...but didn't want to risk testing that at my age 😂) these things feel as though they are specifically designed for skaters (bladers) rather than some products which are generic action sports and don't have the padding in exactly the right places. I really cannot fault these at all!

Excellent customer service from Bodyprox UK - Great side impact protection
Excellent customer service from Bodyprox UK. My first order came with a very inferior seat pad. I contacted the company and sent a photo of the difference between the side impact protectors and that in the seat (see the photo with my hands in). They told me they should have been the same but were clearly not. The seat padding was thinner and softer. As a show of good customer service, they simply sent me another pair of shorts. The replacement was better but still not 100% the same strength seat protector as the sides. I decided to keep them and use both seat pads in one pair of shorts. I have just returned from 6 days snowboarding in the Alpes. They worked a treat. However, as per the photographs, you can see that one of the pads (the one that came with the first pair) is really quite compressed and would not have offered much protection. The second did compress a bit but not quite so much. I have now cut out another piece of padding from some left over Rolson 60817 Floor Mat that I had (the pad with some patterns on in one of the pictures), and I think that will work perfectly in the first set of shorts that I had left without any seat padding. I will update once I have used them. Only four stars, as there seems to be a manufacturing mix up with the quality of the seat padding to that placed in the sides. Once that is sorted, these will be a 5 star pair of shorts. Definitely 5 stars for customer service though. They just need to make sure that whatever the padding is they are using in the side impact areas, is also used in the seat area of impact. Other than that, they were comfortable and provided excellent protection to the sides. I was working on my switch and so spent quite a bit of time falling over! As any snowboarder will know, there is also a lot of time spent sitting down on snow as well as on lifts. They kept my rear from getting cold.
