I recently installed the Pop-Up Drainage Emitter as part of my yard's drainage system, and I couldn't be happier with the results. It’s incredibly easy to install and fits perfectly with standard 4-inch drain pipes. The pop-up top works just as advertised—only opens when there’s water flow, keeping debris and critters out when not in use. What I really appreciate is the low-profile design. It blends in nicely with the lawn and doesn’t get in the way of mowing or foot traffic. Even after several heavy rainstorms, the emitter has performed flawlessly, preventing any pooling or flooding in problem areas. Perfect fit for the drain

Plastic seems of good quality and durable. Easy to pop in the gutter pipe leading away from house. So far it is working effectively and doing a great job of popping up and letting the rain water escape from gutters. Be very careful when using a lawn mower around the emitter because this is the third time I have replaced this same area emitter. I have a tendency to forget and hit emitter with lawn mower tire and break off an edge or two because the emitter is sloping in the ground. I do occasionally pop off the emitter and clean out the trash, leaves and muck still in pipe. Time will tell how long this emitter will last. I think these are priced expensively, however, what isn't expensive these days?

My contractor used cheap and ill fitting grates for the drainage system. Rain just pushed them out and down the steep hill. These fit tight. The pop up valve stays closed until it rains. Grass and critters can't get in!

I’m not a big fan of pop-up drains. Sometimes though, it’s your only option. This product works well. I would buy again if I had to. Just make sure you drill several holes in the pvc elbow under the pop-up and dig down in the soil a foot or two and install fabric and rock so the drain line does not hold water after a rain. Most people don’t do this and the line freezes in the winter.

Item arrived exactly as described. Popped off the broken drain and replaced it with this drain, it fit like a glove and was easy to install. Another small repair project completed without any issues. Looks great, sturdy, and appreciate the value for the money!

So easy to install and works fantastic. Just make sure you use perforated pipe or drill hole in elbow going up to prevent freezing in winter.

In my opinion these are a bit expensive for what they are, but they work well and are easy to install (bit of PVC cement and slide onto your pipe). I did a drain with one of these using 4" perforated PVC drain pipe, and it works perfectly for my sump pump drain. If installed flush to the ground, it allows you to have a mostly-hidden drain that's easy to mow over top of. Dropping 1 star because of the price, but they are definitely a 5 for functionality.
