It’s a very fun gift for someone who wants a tamagotchi for either collecting purposes or just as a fun toy the screen is fairly dim, so it’s hard to see in low light, and the paint around the screen is easily chipped with a good scratch, but nothing dealbreaking to me personally my Creg is currently 12 tama years old and living his best life

Love the nostalgia of the toy but definitely think they need to incorporate an off button separate from the sleep function! My son left for the weekend and came back home to a fully grown (& neglected) tamagotchi & that was that /: Super fun to play with when he first got it! Great functionality, simple to use, and fun learning concepts for pet care.

Oh man, when I opened the box and saw this, I felt a phantom rush of childhood excitement. It felt sugary and carefree and ah! What a great feeling. It's exactly as I remembered the one I had in '98, and it worked great! Though, that ended up being the problem, that it worked. Maybe I liked how needy this pet was as a kid, but as an adult, that is THE LAST thing I want in my life. I just waited until the pet was happy and put it on pause and it's been living as a key chain ever since. Still gets a 5 stars because the product is exactly as expected!

This is an exact remake of the originals! It is great for nostalgia for those of us who were around for the dawn of virtual pets. It's like they took those original pets and put them in prettier cases. This one is very pretty! I want to address two issues I have seen mentioned in reviews for this new release. First, I have read they lack features that the originals had. No, the technology and software is identical to those originally released. These are simpler than the subsequent releases that some people may be thinking of. I have also heard people complain that the sounds are weird... It is the same pitchy beep that the originals had. Don't forget that these are essentially re-releases of old technology! I love it a lot, I loved these as a kid and have always been hopeful Bandai would make them again and it is great to have the exact same toy I had as a child. 5 stars!

My daughter was excited to play with it. It is exactly like the little ones from when I was a kid. She really enjoyed playing with it. Size is small and good for a busy kid.

Bought these on a lightning deal or something before Christmas for 10.99 or below. The next day they where back up over 20 . Gave them to the girls for Christmas . By Christmas plus 5 minutes I was googling how to turn the sound off. Even with that it was great to hear it beep every few min and be all but forgotten about under a pike of wrapping and toys. Letting them know IM STILL HERE FEED ME , WALK ME , PLAY WITH ME , CLEAN UP MY POOP . Love the instant responsibility of being beckoned every few min for nothing and. I enjoyed watching it go down . 🤣🤣🤣

Was for my 7 yr. old grandaughter for her passing present and something to occupy her when on a trip etc Seems good for a trip, etc. but have to watch it a lot more than that.
