The picture indicates its 6 inches long. fail. maybe its for the hulk?

Amazon measurements are generally TERRIBLE. Most of the time they are referring to the shipping box or the package size rather than the actual item. In this case I have no idea what the person putting that image together was doing or (not) thinking. It's actually a RARE example of the dimensions in the description (bottom of the listing of course-- where else would you put good information after all? Here is what it shows: Item Weight 0.32 ounces Product Dimensions 1.25 x 0.75 x 1.5 inches Those are pretty close to reality. That crazy image? Not so much..................

does the holder leave a residue when removed?

I didn't stick it on any of my guitars, so I don't know, but I would guess it would, and if it did you could remove residue with goo b gone
