Maybelline SuperStay Lip Color - Cabernet

I bought this a long time ago and was so disappointed when the store stopped carrying it. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. This has been on the market for a few years now so it has withstood the test of consumer usage. I've used it for more than 5 years. This has legitimate staying power. But, if you eat really greasy food, prepare to reapply. Otherwise, it stays on, even through kissing. The gloss side requires frequent applications as it wears off super fast but that doesn't affect the color...just the shine. Together they are protective enough for your lips for everyday wear. What I really like is how it doesn't feel like it's just sitting on top of my lips. It doesn't chunk off or flake off like other brands of long lasting lip color. That said, this is not a lip stain! I dont like those. Stains are hard to put on and heaven forbid you slip a little. With this, it does take a few seconds to dry so if you slip outside your lip line, you can simply wipe it off. Of course that also means it needs a minute to set properly before your lips accidentally touch your teeth (or your fella). If you kiss your baby's cheek while this is wet, hes going to need make up remover to get it off.This is absolutely my favorite brand of lip color. The superstay definitely stays and is comfortable to wear. The 755 plum is the perfect shade for my light to medium freckled complexion. Love love love this stuff.

I love make up, I'm the type that makes her own blends, less is more, born with it kind of look but never leave home with out it of girl. so I decided to try Maybelline Superstay lip color 16 hour color. The price was very right so I bought 3! Here is the trick apply lip color on clean lips then apply the balm. Because I'm the lip gloss type I hate lipstick! I applied a very light pink shade lip gloss on top of the balm and OH MY! I'm fell head over heels over this look! definitively a you are born with it look, not to mention I think that's what we see on TV an can never get the results of the model on TV. I feel like I have discover a very well kept secret girls! So Does it last 16 hours? yes IF you put it on right before you go to sleep! I tried it but who does that anyway right? Here is the thing, I put it on in the morning, forgot about it, ate breakfast, out I went, about noon for lunch I looked in the mirror and I could not believe I still had it on lip gloss and all! It doesn't last 16 hours of the day but I'm fine with at least 6! My hint of advise, use very little, it will last linger but again it will also give you a natural born with it look. OH and by the way no taste. I rather no taste than something nasty that makes me sick. And it doesn't peel off! hope this helps! I just love it!

I currently have this but was running low. I thought the price was outrageous but ordered anyway because I love the color. The product I received is labeled 770 Blossom but is a totally different color. Disappointed. If you've previously used Blossom 770 and like it, don't order this.

I purchases Cherry 735, Sand, and Blush. And as advertised they all have incredible staying power! The shine does wear off some but the color it self last a long time. I reapply the shine coat sometimes because I don't want the color to be flat. With the variety of colors offered there is something of everybody. I have a darker skin tone and the Blush and Sand look great.The Sand is a more subtle so it can be worn almost everyday.The Blush is also a more natural shade so I have more opportunities to wear it.The only problem I have had is with the Cherry color - it stays a little to well. After wearing it all day, it is still a little difficult to get off. I have to scrubbed my lips to get it off - if not my lips are tinged reddish the next day. I only occasionally wear the Cherry as it is very, very red so having a little difficult taking it off its a big deal.

I use this lipstick just about every day -- okay, EVERY day! It stays on the entire day unless you eat a huge sandwich or something that really rubs your lips. The lipstick is somewhat transparent and it has a shimmer to it. I use it in combination with a more opaque and darker lipstick of the same type (to outline my lips) because it is a little too transparent to give my lips enough definition. But if my lips were fuller, this lipstick would be fine all by itself. Be sure not to leave the lid off for long because lipsticks like this dry out fast if you do. Also, be sure to use the clear sealant on top - if you don't, your lips will dry out and little particles of the lipstick might stick to your teeth.

Honestly, I really like the lipstick. The color is nice, and it does last longer than traditional lipstick. But I wouldn't say it lasted 16 hours. After eating something, it wears off in the middle. Then your lips look paler in the center and pink around the outer age, which looks a little strange. I have pretty dry lips though, so it might just be me. But it does last longer than other lipsticks and doesn't transfer as easy. If you kiss someone, they'll only get the conditioning balm, not the lipstick. Overall, I recommend it. Just don't expect it to last 16 hours without a few touch ups during that time.

I bought this product hoping that I wouldn't have to reapply my lip color ever few minutes. Originally I hated it, it crumbled and flaked off almost immediately. I really wanted to like this product and was willing to try again, this time I put some of the balm on first and needless to say that was the worst idea it just peeled right off. I put this aside for a few days and then decided to try again today and to my great surprise it worked. From about 5:30am to after dinner it stayed on. Even through band! I'm a wind/brass player and have my mouth on a mouthpiece for about 45 straight minutes. I was extremely surprised that it stayed through that stress let alone through dinner and continuous licking of lips and chapstick application and removal. This product is great, when in doubt let it dry longer!

Great colour and lasts all night. This is a great lipstick. Apply after your foundation, leave to set for 3 minutes then apply the glossy lip balm. You do not need to worry again for the rest of the evening about your colour wearing off - even after food, drink or snogging. Just top up the lip balm intermitently to maintain gloss.It can be difficult to remove using conventional methods but this works well for me: Take a pice of cotton wool and slightly dampen it. Put a few drops of olive oil on the cotton wool. Use this to clean your make-up off (also removes tough mascara)

Zuerst traegt man die Farbe auf und lässt sie antrocknen, dann trägt man den Balsam auf und es fühlt sich weich und geschmeidig an. Doch leider ist der Balsam schnell weg udn so hat man nur die trockene Farbe auf dem Lippen und die kleben dann aneinander. Die Farbe hält zwar, aber man muss entweder den Stift mitnehmen oder einen Labello oder ähnliches dabei haben um es wieder geschmeidig zu bekommen

Love this product been using it for years.

This product was almost given away as it was very cheap to buy. Usually Maybelline lipsticks are very good, however this one lasted for about 2 hours then had to be re applied again and again

j'ai la peau assez claire..et sur moi, c'est juste horrible comme couleur! Après sur peau + mat, faut voir :-/
