I bought this as part of our emergency kit for high-altitude hiking/climbing in ice and snow on our last trip. We've learned the hard way having a good quality, quickly and easily deployable line+carabiners is a real necessity. Fortunately we didn't need it in-action this last trip, it but it's a robust product for sure. Equal to ones you might find in a typical mountain shop.This is a bit bigger and heavier than one might expect. If you are building your pack to minimize weight and space, keep that in mind.I'd still rather have it and not need it....

Great for a variety of uses.

We purchased this to use while cutting down a tree. We needed the rope to guide the tree where we needed it to drop. I was surprised by the weight and strength of this rope! This is such a handy rope to have. I loved the heavy clips on each end that added weight. It also enabled me to quickly wrap and loop the rope where I needed it. It made the entire process much quicker. We were surprised by how much we loved this rope! I mean, it’s a rope! But the quality is amazing and I’m confident I will have many additional uses for this in the future!
