It fit like a glove; I couldn't this size at Lowes or Home Depot!

Directions were lacking but the latch works fine. This is the second one that I’ve purchased so I already figured out the installation.the first one worked fine for a couple of years till a tornado wrecked my gate.

This gate latch is much better than the slim latches originally installed by the fencers. Like other reviewers I was stumped at how the thumb rod easily falls out. The solution is so simple but not obvious. Insert the thumb rod fully, and then push it in further with force so it snaps into place. The manufacturer should have provided more details in the meager instructions provided.

Heavy duty gate latch works perfectly very easy to install looks a lot more expensive then the price very durable I have a dog that can open gates but with this gate latch he can’t open the gate if your looking for a nice quality gate latch this is a must have highly recommend

A gate latch for a fence for my back yard. Works out fine.

I don't know what size pieces of lumber they use in China, but here in the US, we use 2x4s, and this useless piece of hardware won't work here. The lever is too small to go through standard sized lumber. More trash for the landfill.At some point you have to blame Amazon. If I had simply gone to my local hardware store I can guarantee I would have received hardware appropriate for a US standard size. Instead, I get this type of useless junk. It is constant. I'll be headed to the store, and my trust in Amazon is further eroded.

It seems like latch appears to be solidly built, providing a reasonable level of security for my gate.Its straightforward design allows for easy operation, and it blends decently with the overall appearance. While not 100% exceptional (you shouldn't expect $100+ level for this price), the latch serves its purpose and reliably keeps the gate closed.As for durability, time will tell how well it holds up against different weather conditions.
