Stops teeth grinding and snoring
I originally purchased these to use with my CPAP machine. I use a nose pillow mask, but my mouth was still coming open at night. These are much better than the original Resmed one that I started with and half the price. The chin part is softer and the straps are wider and more comfortable. I did make the slit longer to fit my head better. Sometimes if I have a restless night and move around too mulch, it will slip forward and not hold my mouth. I just pull the strap back in place and go back to sleep. They wash up well and dry quickly. I was surprised that the side effects was that I was no longer grinding my teeth and made my tmj pain stopped. That was a nice extra benefit. You have to experiment with the tightness and where best to place it on your head so it does not come off during the night, but once you find the sweet spot on your own head, it works great.

A quick tip that may help…
My husband uses these to make his CPAP effective. He has used the name brand ones because that’s what the company sent and they are covered by insurance, but only at rather long intervals. My husband’s disease is dementia, so they are often misplaced or even fall apart before we are eligible for a new one since he can be rough on things, lacking the comprehension to be careful. The CPAP doesn’t work without the strap so it is critical we always have an extra on hand. That brought me here and I decided to go with this choice since it is basically just for backup.Overall I think these are at least as good as the name brand, but there are two flaws I note…1. Directions are not clear and are unnecessarily complicated. The chin pocket has a smooth side and a velvet side. My intuition was to put the velvet side out, just as you would wear it with clothing. When it didn’t work well I looked at the pictures and realized it should be worn velvet side next to the skin. The directions don’t explicitly state this but the photos are clear and when worn this way, the complications with the strap go away. Velvet side next to the skin also puts seams away from skin so it becomes a very gentle chin pocket when worn properly. The product is fine put the directions need improvement.2. The other flaw is with the slit in the strap. It only works if your head is exactly the right size. My husband’s head is large. This strap fits fine but when secured, the slit is off center, so can’t be split as shown in illustrations. It still works for him when used as a single strap but it can’t be spread for additional stability. I looked at whether I could lengthen the slit but, while I could cut it with a pair of scissors, the lengthened slit would not be long enough to fix things.I see some people don’t like the long strap when used on a smaller head. That really is a problem that can be solved with scissors. Once you have your fit you can cut it to size.Overall, this is a good value. For us it is certainly good enough for backup. We will continue to use this one as a primary for at least a while.

Absolutely Useless
No matter how I put it on, I can easily open my mouth or move my jaw in any direction. It is useless. I bought it because it was small and would not interfere with my CPAP nose cushion device... this was true. But, with or without the CPAP apparatus in place it doesn't do it's job at all. The two of them are now in the trash. Waste of money! I don't like giving negative reviews, but there's nothing else you can say about a product that does not work at all.

Worked near perfectly for me!
I thought I'd try this even after some of the not great reviews. It stayed in place for me. I happen to put my hair up in a bun on top of my head and the strap sits around it and stays in place. I also have a CPAP that helped hold it in place.I didn't mind the strap, only once it sat too close to my ear but I just moved it and was good. I don't shift around a whole bunch when I sleep either. Honestly it helped my oxygen level stay high last night and I feel great this morning. The chin part was comfortable.

Not as Good as Name Brand
This skin strap has two major pluses. You get two for the price of one name brand and the chin cup material is softer. However, the strap design is not as good and it is more difficult to keep in place. The strap is wider and the material lighter and slicker. The instructions about the slit make no sense and the slit serves no purpose. The adjustment strap is short leaving an off center point of connection and a long flapping strap end on one side. The Velcro strip is much shorter. The result is that once adjusted the connected portion is not centered on the top of the head which contributes to slipping. I will use these but will probably spring for the name brand for my next replacement. I have not had them long enough to.know how they will hold up but $20 for one versus $20 for two every year or so won't break the bank.

Comfortable and helps me not snore.
These are light weight and comfortable. They have been working to stop me from snoring. I wear CPAP headgear every night and these do not add bulk to the top of my head, so I do wear them every night. Years ago I tried wearing a similar headgear device but it was uncomfortable, too bulky and made me feel clostrophobic. These don't make me feel like that and I barely know I am wearing it. Thank you for selling these on Amazon and for such a reasonable price.Rev. B

comfortable, but doesn't work as intended
Unable to get the straps tight enough to keep mouth closed and it slips off my head. I was hoping it would work. The material is comfortable, too bad it dosen't work.
