Just picked this up recently and it's already become one of those little gadgets I can't go without. I needed something to charge my phone and use wired headphones at the same time, and this adapter handles it flawlessly. I’ve tested all 3 ports — USB, headphone jack, and charging — and everything works at the same time with no lag or weird connection issues. It even handles fast charging without overheating, which I didn’t expect at this price. Overall super happy I grabbed this — works great with my laptop, phone, and iPad.

This is such a great idea but the problem is it works sometimes. If they could fix the issue this would be a great invention. I do recommend buying it but you will return it.

Beware.. I purchased two of these and they both presented the same identical problem. The audio jack does not function correctly, when connected to either headphones or an external speaker, the sound is very low and "tinny" sounding. I tried a number of different audio cables - same result. Similar adapters that do NOT have the USB A socket work perfectly. I will add that the functionality of the USB A and C sockets work fine.

It works with the headphone jack and the charging port, but the USB data port does not work as intended. I wanted to hook a flash drive up to my phone and play movies for a flash drive using a VLC app. so the full size USB is pointless.

I needed a Hub to work with MIDI, using a Roland A-300PRO and an iPad Air 10th, this device was the only one that worked perfectly and I can still send the sound through the headphone output anywhere. It was worth the small investment.

This is neat to have if I ever want to use wired headphones with my phone. I bought it for my iPad, but forgot that this was the USB-C type. Oh well, works for my phone :) If I ever need to, I can use wired headphones (no need for charging!), and have a charging port and a slot for a USB thumb drive at the same time.
