Is the 1 7/8 inside opening of the tool? Or size of pipe its for? What size do i need for 1 1/4" schedule 40 pipe

It's the size of the pipe that it's for on the outside of the pipe. I'm not sure what size you would need for the 1 1/4 pipe because you are 5/8 of an inch smaller than the 1 7/8 one.

How do one know if sizes other than those advertised are available?

I have call company and they have others sizes not listed.
