I ordered with trepidation, because quality and sound varies with brand, and, per the reviews, some people had non-working notes.But what I received was perfect, with such a beautify tone (using the mallets) that playing it is a meditation in itself.If I could afford a second one, I would use magnets to flatten each note, so that, between the two tongue drums, I would have the full chromatic scale.But just one of these tongue drums, as is, sends me into higher consciousness.

The media could not be loaded.  It’s perfect! Notes sound great, definitely some sweet spots on the higher notes tho. Love the music book, and the bag that came with it.

The media could not be loaded.  It is visually stunning and all my notes sound perfect (to me, a musical novice). In less than 5 hours I can play a song (figured out the notes by ear, with harmonies), I'm sure other people could cut that time in half

Great quality starter hand pan/rav drum. Carrying case has handles and a shoulder strap, which is really a great detail. I purchased some marimba mallets as well bc I like the softer/muted sound. Mallets that are included are soft silicone but they are a bit small, just FYI.

I'm guessing there's a reason that most of the quality tongue drums have a fraction of the notes. Not all notes are in-tune with each-other, which makes it grating when playing certain melodies that would sound good on a different instrument. The notes that are in-tune, especially the mid and higher register notes, sound really quite good. I think it is a good value overall, but if you are looking for a studio-quality tongue drum I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Love this Drum. The sound is very relaxing. I just play it, make up tunes as I go. Its great!
