Don’t take chances when compressing springs. This works like it should and is sturdy.

Used this to remove the front coil springs from my early GM A-body when replacing them with coil overs. It was the only safe way to safely compress the spring for easy removal.

These do not work for "bigger" coil springs like for my 1998 ford expedition 4x4 rear. Maybe they work for geo metro coil springs or something.

Sure made the job alot easier

Compressing springs is one of the most dangerous automotive jobs you can do. Wanted a compressor that was built well enough to trust. This unit is strong and well built, and allowed safe removal of coilsprings.

I was replacing the original front springs on my 1979 firebird and was having a really challenging expectation trying to remove them. This tool made the job manageable and was much easier than the other methods I had tried. It fit perfectly between my spring coils and is definitely a durable tool. Good value compared to others on Amazon.
