Quickie Sponge Mop Refill 3" X 9" type S (2 Packs)

This product speaks for itself. Quickie sponge is one of the most popular mops you can find anywhere. Everybody loves them. I love them!Thing is, and I learned this the hard way, they aren't all the same size. I mean, you would *think* a mop is a mop and there would be one standardized size across the Quickie lineup. I found out this just isn't so when I recently bought a refill on Amazon and the sponge was too big to fit the mounting bracket.This time around I did research. The first thing I did was measure the mounting bracket on my Quickie mop. I took a tape measurer and measured the difference between the two holes where the sponge screws in. On my mop, that distance was 6 1/2 inches.So, if your screw/hole distance is 6 1/2 inches then this is the replacement size (size S) that you need.Please don't buy these blindly as I did. The sizes are not standardized.

I still like the old sponge mop sponges that bend in half to rinse and drain excess water. They're not always easy to find. This sponge is perfect but very expensive.

This was a refill for my Quickie sponge mop. I couldn't find one at any stores, so this was a good alternative. I am now able to use my sponge mop with a new sponge. It kept me from buying a whole new sponge mop.

You'd think that most critical dimension of mount stud spacing would be prominently stated on all mop refills (it's not). Or maybe that some marketing person at one of the manufacturers would list all the dimensions of all the standard refill types (not to be found). This is a Type S. I measure 9" x 3" x 1-1/8", and the mount stud spacing is 6-1/2". It fits my HD brand sponge mop, which is good, because they discontinued it despite it being a great product.

Impossible to find in any store here in Connecticut. High quality, they work great, handle last forever BUT EXPENSIVE in comparison to other mop replacement sponges. The only replacement sponges that fit on Quickie handles are Quickie sponge heads.

I still use my older "S" style mop with the long squeegee arm that folds the sponge in have for draining the water out. Recently been having trouble locating these in any of the local stores. Fortunately they can be found in stock on Amazon (Thank You !). You get a set of 2 at a great price. Everything you need is right in the bag with replacement heads. Can't go wrong here if you need the "S" replacements !
