Great Product
This is my first experience with raised container gardening. This container is sturdy and easy to put together. The casters make it so easy to move. I am using this for my tomato plants and they are flourishing. I have blossoms on all plants. The container system is great and I like all the products that are included. Only thing left to add is soil and plants. I liked this so much I just ordered another one.

I regret not buying one sooner
Absolutely stunning performance!! I never had growth like this when using 5 gallon buckets. All in a set it and forget it like package. Super easy to use and set up. Just follow the instructions in the booklet. I think my favorite feature is it takes the guesswork out of watering. No more overwatering or underwatering. Just fill the reservoir and the Earth Box will wick up the perfect amount of water that the plants need. When the reservoir runs dry, you fill it again. It's as simple as that! This product almost guarantees success for even the first time grower. It comes with wheels so moving it around is a breeze.

They’re awesome but expensive
I love Earth boxes. They grow some of my best plants here in NC on my little patio. I barely have to water my plants, too! The large boxes fit two indeterminate tomatoes very well each year even with tomato cages. My only gripe is the cost. It shouldn’t be this pricy. It should be $40 for the big ones. $45 max. The small ones barely hold anything and frankly my plants don’t seem to do well in them for some reason. They should cost $20 for the small ones. I would own twice as many of these large ones if they sold them for $40. The fertilizer that comes with it is good. My plants love it enough to make me buy replant kits each year. Some of us are just trying to grow a little food for our families to dust costs and encourage them to grow their food as well. So it would be nice if they made the cost less prohibitive. I ended up making two out of heavy duty black storage bins and pvc pipe this year. Cheaper and seems to work just as well. I used the lids as the drainage area (cut the lid up and drilled lots of holes in it), then added a few drainage holes to the side of bin itself, and the pipe to refill. I actually ended up using the spare covers from the earthbox replant kit to cover my homemade bins. Worked great. Cost me $15 each. If they charged less and made wider widths, I wouldn’t need to diy these though, ya know?

Incredible bounty
I bought 2 Earth Box kits for this season's container garden, which I keep on an upper porch. The full kit included the box with grid and water pipe, 2 plastic covers, dolomite and fertilizer, and 4 casters. It's extremely easy to put together and the directions are very well written, with large, clear pictures. After box assembly, you need to add the 2 L of potting soil (this is 1 large bag easily found at any garden center), put in the dolomite and fertilizer as directed, and put the mulch cover on top. It took a little while because I was trying not to spill soil on my porch... but once filled it was ready for plants. At first I was tempted to put more plants into each box than recommended because 2 tomato plants (or 6 pepper plants) did not seem like enough. Resist this temptation and follow the directions!! These plants will grow huge and produce more bounty than you can imagine. It is truly unbelievable the number of cherry tomatoes I am getting from just one plant; every day I harvest about 25 - 30 tomatoes and this has been going on for about 10 days. The peppers are equally impressive. Each plant has grown to about 4 feet tall and is filled with huge, beautiful peppers. Because I was initially doubtful that these boxes could live up to the hype, I planted several of the same variety plants in individual containers like I usually do. There is no comparison; the Earth Box plants are easily 4 times the size of the others and have produced 10 times the vegetables! The growing process is so simple and effective I can't imagine going back to the usual containers. A word to the wise, however... When the plants get so huge they do require quite a lot of water. Through the hottest days I have had to replenish water every day. However, if you keep a hose nearby, the process is a snap. Just put the hose into the top of the little watering tube and let it run until you see a little water running out of the overflow drain near the bottom. I highly recommend the Earth Box and plan to buy another for next year's vegetable garden.

Earth boxes ROCK!!!!!
These are great container garden product for a person like me who has only a deck and no actual yard. Over the past couple years I have acquired four earth boxes. I use them to grow a variety of things, one is dedicated to herbs. I generally have a couple types of basil, oregano, thyme, chives, tarragon, parsley, and cilantro. another box has tomatoes, and one easily holds three tomato plants. Last year I had an earth box with several eggplants and a couple of habanero peppers, and they did very well. I have also grown seedless English cucumbers in my earth boxes. This year I will be trying a variety of lettuces. Earth box, is the watering system. The self watering system is amazing, it makes it very easy to water. it has a tube that sticks up and you just put the hose down the tube and water until the watering system is full. I find that even in the hottest of weather I do not need to water more than once a week. Even when I went on vacation for a week my plants in my yard boxes stayed healthy and lush. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes to garden who needs a container garden.

I have been looking for a garden planter for several months and, when I discovered the EarthBox, I was sure that it would be perfect. And it was - I cannot wait till spring when I do my planting. The planter is a great size and the castors allow easy movement. I bought a second one with the stand and it too is fabulous. As I grow older (now 72), mobility is more and more of a concern and these boxes are great. I also like the self- watering aspect as that allows more regulated water supply for the plants. All in all another great purchase.

Everybody should own one of these if you have a sunny spot in a yard or a apartment balcony. I use them in a greenhouse and they work really well and grow tons of vegetables. So far egg plant, tomatoes and peppers. Easy for those new to gardening to use, read the instructions and follow them and you will be very successful. I have bought four more recently. Highly recommend.
