THE BEST!
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel like I need to tell everyone how wonderful this program is!I feel like this program is so thorough and can really help to fill in gaps in learning. I’ve noticed a big difference in my children and more confidence with math. The lessons are very straight forward. Not full of fluff. They’re short and can keep their attention. My kids love the lessons and honestly I’m learning things as well!

My 7th grader finally gets it!
I am a homeschooling parent. My oldest child did fine with our previously chosen math curriculum, but my second really got stuck at learning the multiplication facts and got way behind. It seemed an impossible task to ever get her back up to grade level. She dreaded math and just felt no good at it.I ordered this in hopes of helping her get back to grade level in an efficient way. It has been a huge success!! She finished the first book in 3 weeks and can’t wait to start the next. She actually reaches for her math first now. This has solidified the basics for her and built her confidence so much.I’m using this also with my 3rd grader (who I’ve discovered was getting by with his math by using a lot of finger counting!) and my 5th grader. My fifth grader absolutely melts down if I try to time the tests, but as long as I skip the timing part, he’s doing great also and really building a much better recall of the math facts that will support him so much as he advances into higher math. And now that I know we can get through the material so quickly, I can be patient to let him build this foundation without feeling pressure to rush him along so he won’t fall behind. So grateful for this program!!

Great to fill in the gaps in learning.
I purchased this book for my child who was struggling with confidence in math. We found some gaps in learning that needed to be filled and the confidence started to emerge. The lessons are short, in comparison to other books we’ve tried, so my child doesn’t feel overwhelmed. We can do multiple lessons a day and my student leaves the table without stress or tears. A big win for us

Mind BLOWN!
Edit: after a few weeks of using it we are learning a different way to add and subtract simple math equations i.e. 8+6 and my adult (apparently stupid) mind is blown! I have been adding these the hard way and memorizing facts for nothing and we are in chapter 1!!A homeschool parent recommended this. Since we had been having trouble moving forward in our Math curriculum I decided to try it. We're still in the "easy stuff" that we've already learned but it's hands-on and not rushed. I love that we can print out additional worksheets for free or buy a book of extras.

Even grown ups can learn from this!
This book builds up math skills nicely. It not only teaches how to do math on paper, it teaches how to do them in your head. I bought volume 1 for my 1st grader and volume 2 for my 4th grader, but both are using vol 1 right now.My mom is my substitute teacher and even she's learning stuff! You'll need to supplement with additional materials (i'm using free online sources) to make sure your kid us learning stuff required for state testing.

Good for
My oldest has been working through this for a few months now. My only complaint is that there isn’t enough room for the big multiplication problems. I’ve had him start using ruled paper so he has less errors. He’s adhd-inattentive and math is not his strong suit. We have tried many curriculums which left him behind but this curriculum has gotten him through a lot. I have not used it for a child who has not been exposed to the concepts ahead of time but it’s been great for someone somewhat familiar.

Wonderful math books
These math books are great, just the math books I have been looking for for years.Math books used to be more like this before common core. Now most math books are geared to that system, which I describe as teaching a child multiple ways of learning computations. These mental math gymnastics happen as we grow older, but should not be dumped upon a child just learning to compute. Most math books also jump around from issue to issue, one lesson computation, the next measurement, the next metric system, and on.This series is different and back to the basics of computing. I think they are modeling it on Ray’s Arithmetic, which is great! I always wanted a workbook to go with that series and this seems to be it.The only thing I wished they’d change are the covers of the books. I will be tearing off the All Seeing Eye pyramid on the second book. I can’t stand that garbage. Ancient rebellion against YHWH.

Great for getting on track and up to speed.
The process laid out in this workbook has been great for learning via repetition. It helps with rote memory skills and making the need to lean on a calculator unnecessary.

A sound curriculum without the fluff
This no frills curriculum works well for my "numbers only" (my term) child (aged 7) who is distracted by pictures and busy pages. It has a gentle but firm approach to learning math, encouraging both memorization and learning the "tricks" to solve problems. The author speaks directly to the learner, which is helpful for building confidence in self-directed learners. When my child was excited to do the worksheet because she "got it already," I knew this curriculum was right for her.Is she learning math fast? I don't know--but she's learning and not feeling threatened my math! Good enough for me!Much thanks to the author.
