This is a really beautiful collar and yes; it has the break-away snap so if my newest rescue baby should get herself into a bad situation; these collars wont strangle her. (Please folks; never ever collar a cat with a collar that doesnt break away from itself if your cat should get snagged up by the collar!! I keep trying to catch the image of her wearing this but she is a semi long hair with quite the mane; and always, always busy; I can show you why toys are the next objective, since she saw a bug and...redesigned my living room curtains. But; it is a really pretty collar, feels vevety, but think is is leather maybe? and the heart, is all "bling" with tons of rhinestones and so far? she has been unable to figure how to walk with stealth so the others in the house dont have warning she has chosen her toy (usually our chihuahua). beautiful tortoiseshell kitten someone had tossed into the river...tsk, tsk; now our spoiled, much loved youngest feline in the house. I had zero problems with her adjusting to wearing this either..it is fully adjustable and I just widened it till I could slip it over her head. ALWAYS be sure you can slip atleast one finger under your pets collar, if not two so they are comfortable! (I was a former veterinary tech.) She looks beautiful in her new collar and the price was very reasonable too. good purchase.

The bell is a bit louder than the bell on the previous collar I had. Wonder if it's annoying to my cat. Also if the cat's neck is small there's a lot of collar sticking out as there's no loop to tuck it into. Otherwise a pretty collar.I just edited this review and changed it from 3 stars to 5 stars. The bell turns out to be wonderful since my cat loves to go outside and I can hear him running back home when I call him. It does not seem to bother him at all. Also, I made the collar looser. I have it on the last hole and it never slips off his head, but having it a bit looser gives me peace of mind that if he should be caught on anything it will slide off his head so he won't get strangled, as there's just so much the elastic can stretch.

This was a great buy. I thought that it may not fit my cat because her neck is smaller than eight inches but it fit her just fine. It look cute in person and it seems to be very durable. the end of the collar sticks out because the little loop thingy is too far away to fit. I imagine it would be worse for a cat with a bigger neck. but even though the end sticks out it does not bother her she is still comfortable and doesnt notice it. it just bothers me. Good buy. This collar arrived from the seller much faster than I anticipated. It came in a clear piece of see through plastic with a generic drawing of oone of Disney's 101 Dalmatians and of Marie the white kitten from Disney's Aristocrats.I did not notice when I bought this collar that it has a suede like finish. That was a little 1970s chic and not enough sexah Prince/Purple Rain for me but since this is for my new ball of whiskers, Merlin the Cat, I am willing to over look the feel of the collar.This item is also bigger around than I was expecting but is just as thin as I was hoping for. It's very long for a kitty but there are multiple holes to size it down pretty small. Merlin, the cat, is about 8 months old and this fits him great! Purrfect to grow into.The bling is more beautiful than I had hoped for and the jingle bell is so loud you can hear him prancing through the house- and saving us from the evil rats that live in our attic- all night long!I'm pretty nervous that it doesn't 100% breakaway, but it does seem to truly stretch should he get his whiskers in a bind.

I loved this collar and it looked beautiful on my green eyed tabby. I took the bell off, because I think all cat bells are annoying, but my kitty didn't seem to hate the collar. It lasted 3 years, and probably could longer, but the purple color faded gnarly and now its black. I bought a new one in a different color so my baby can look fresh. I've seen reviews that some cats have reacted badly to these collars, but mine has not so far so I am impressed.

My cat had been wearing the same collar for the past 3+ years and it was hanging on by a thread, so I figured it was time for a replacement. This one is super cute and fits her well. I especially love it because the bell is a lot louder than her old one - so it's easier to find her when she's roaming around outside the house. If you ask her though, that's probably the one reason she hates it because it's harder to sneak up on things haha!

I really love this collar. I love the beautiful blue color and the little heart design sparkles. My cat thinks shes a queen so it's a collar for a little queen. And I love the little bell to give the birds a warning when shes out. And she has a tendency to hid in the house so it's nice to find her when I can hear the bell. And the collar feels very soft too.

I really liked this collar. Constructed of heavy heavy vinyl material wrapped in a felt, almost velvet like fabric. The heart charm is as described it the ad. The truth is my small, dainty female calico cat did not like this collar. I remember a reviewer saying the bell on the collar was louder than most. I agree it is. My cat kept shaking her head, finally rolling on the floor trying to get the collar off. Never has she exhibited this behavior with collars previously. This collar still has my vote but not for smaller cats. I think it’s too confining, structured for a cat such as mine.
