Good English Series on the Prophet
These books are a good resource to gain some background about the Prophet (PBUH) and his characteristics, as well as some of the history of Islam and how it spread. The familiarity you gain from reading this series is really helpful for those trying to learn more about Islam and Islamic history.

Continuing from the part 1 review
The second part expands on the position of the Quraysh opposing the Prophet who had to move to the valley of Abu Talib due to continuous harassment by the social elite of Mecca. By the end of it, they were planning to murder the Prophet. Interestingly the book also details on immigration of Muslim to Ethiopia at that time which is not commonly known. We are then moved on to the social and economic conditions of Medina which made it highly receptive to the Prophet's religion. The society in Medina went to become quite cohesive with the brotherhood pacts introduced and thus unity flourished the Medinan society, pacts were also made with Jews and Christians living in and around Medina for peaceful coexistence. At this same time, the Quraysh were bent on oppressing the Muslims since they felt their powers as a clan were getting reduced. The last part briefly touches on the first war that happened.I will pick on that in the next part's review.
