Lonely Planet Pocket Oslo

I’d give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could. In usual Lonely Planet form, it contains tons of practical information as well as a detailed map. For any attraction it will tell you the cost, hours, special features, how to get there using public transport, what eateries are nearby. It includes walks and excellent nitty gritty info like electrical plugs, use of ATMs, shopping possibilities, how to use public transport, etc. Highly recommended.

Not up to date anymore re museum opening hours, etc., but great to slip it my pocket for basic street maps.

Edition was dated 2018, but at the time we went (late 2023) there weren't really any more recent (and good) pocket guides to Oslo. So we bought this one and were mostly pleased with it, but the outdated information was a pain sometimes - for example the main museum had moved, and the Viking museum was on a long term closure. Even so, a nice guide to a lovely city, and hopefully they will release a new edition soon. In the meantime be prepared to double-check the guide's information online.

Lonely Planet ormai è una garanzia, soprattutto le versioni pocket che consiglio sempre a tutti per la comodità e praticità (anche da portare con sé in giro!). Ho acquistato la versione in inglese perché in italiano non c'è!
