Perfect quality, form, and function! Well worth it!
Great product! I have been using this Milliard Foam Leg Elevator Cushion constantly for 11 days post-surgery for a total ankle replacement on my left side. I expect to keep using it for a few more weeks. It is with me 24/7. I am 6' 2.5" tall and 220 lbs. During the day, I use it under my leg and on top of a fairly flat pillow resting on the raised footrest of my recliner, while I visit with my wife, watch television, study news on my phone, nap, eat meals, etc. My toes are kept above my nose and my knee and ankle kept above the level of my heart. My little recliner recovery "nest" is easy to quickly construct and de-construct for trips to and from the bathroom or kitchen on my knee scooter. It works perfectly to elevate my leg comfortably and securely. I have full confidence that my leg will remain gently and securely in place at all times. I would never try to do without it, now, whenever I may need proper leg elevation. It is wide, large and bulky, but quite light, light enough for me to haul with the pillow, phone, and various necessities in/on my knee scooter when I retire to bed. I prefer sleeping on my right side. I can still sleep comfortably on my right side, if I lie on my right side, put the cushion in front of my right leg, and carefully hike my bandaged/splinted left leg up and over my right leg onto the cushion, so that the inside of my slightly bent left knee is resting in the perfectly shaped groove on top of the cushion. Otherwise, I can sleep comfortable on my back with good pillows under my head and shoulders. Secure and comfortable. The materials and construction are of good quality. This is a thousand times more effective, comfortable, and secure than any shaky makeshift pyramid of pillows, and well worth the investment to purchase, if you are recovering from a leg injury, leg surgery, or simply need the proper and consistent leg elevation. I highly recommend this great product!

Don't fight with pillows, these are much better!
Broke my ankle so bad will need surgery. Doctor's orders to keep foot elevated. I thought I could prop up pillows to keep my feet elevated but that ended up causing more pain and frustration. Pillows move and sag causing your foot to support more weight, which then made things even MORE painful. And I'd wake up in the middle of the night to find the pillows have shifted or fallen off. That made my sleep choppy and therefore I'd wake annoyed and even more stressed trying to rebuild the proper support. After 3 nights of STRUGGLING,I decided to bite the bullet and spend the money for expensive foam. It is SO worth it for the pain relief alone! The swelling goes down. Not to mention the quicker healing the doctor says when the foot is elevated. This was one of the best purchases Ive made on Amazon. So easy to use, peace of mind, no more fighting with props. Just get this already! The top is wide enough so I can rest my feet sideways so there is even less pressude points and eases up on the pain even more. The foam is just right to me. It's firm but not hard. The cover is soft and won't fight your clothing or blanket.I find you have to push the wedge up so it sits just under your butt for the whole leg to be properly supported. This is a good wedgie lol... sorry about that! Even that high up my foot can still rest at the top. I'm 5'8". Later on, I'll let my Mom use this to prop up both her legs since she gets swollen ankles from her diabetes.

Must have for knee surgery!
I purchased this foam leg elevator based on the recommendation of others who had ACL surgery. I would highly suggest ordering this leg elevator if you have surgery and need to keep your leg elevated. Pillows are a pain to try and keep together much less my leg was falling off. For those of you who know the first few days after surgery you can't lift your leg on its own, so this is a major benefit. This foam elevator is perfect because my leg can't fall out so I can sleep comfortably through the night. I am able to sleep with my brace on and this allows me to elevate with the additional support of the foam instead of just pillows. Worth every penny and I'm glad I ordered before I had surgery to get the two day shipping so it arrived the day I had surgery. I can't imagine dealing with pillows as a foot prop ever again... hopefully I personally won't ever need this for a surgery again, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again or recommend to anyone having knee or ankle surgery.

Helpful for ACL reconstruction swelling, but better for taller people
I’m a 5’5” female post ACL reconstruction 5 weeks. This is so large that I struggle to get my butt close enough to get my leg into the groove. I have to actually sit on it to do it. My heel was very sore from resting so hard in the groove bc it is very firm. That being said, after walking around on my weak muscles now, this feels so good to rest in and helps a lot with the swelling in the afternoon or after PT. I just wear a sneaker in it to protect my heel. This isn’t a great position for ACL surgery early on bc they want your leg more in extension than flexion, but it’s a great break and helps my back and I did sleep in it after they took the brace off. It also works for an option for resting with ice packs. It was the only way I could sleep right after the brace bc I kept turning and pinching my knee with pillows. I do think it really helps with swelling. I end up sharing the groove and edges with my second leg about half the time. So, I love it in some ways but it’s huge, very firm and overly tall. I think they need a smaller shorter option for smaller people.
