Does the job.
Works great to keep rain water from wicking under a door that has no awning. Cut the inside edge (near the ankles) at an angle and filed it to avoid injury. Added a bead of caulk behind the top edge before screwing it on.

Use to direct rain away from bottom of exterior door
This was easy to install on outside on exterior door. Hoping this will direct rain away from bottom of door and prevent threshold from rotting.

Very professional not expensive for aluminum.
My opening was only 31” so I took some off both edges so the screw holes were equal all the way across. This looks like it will keep the rain from coming in.

Does the job.
I was surprised how relatively sturdy this is. Installation went fine--i made my measurements and then trimmed it to length with a hacksaw. So far it's helping keep leakage from happening during big storms and is pretty solid. Overall a good buy as is similarly priced in brick and mortars.

Door Bottom
I was initially disappointed with the finish on the door bottom, with an uneven look, some areas appearing to be darker than others. I needed to mount right away, so I used as it was. Mounting was much slower than expected, since you have to allow for the hidden brace that goes behind the bottom. If you mount with the door bottom too near the floor, the brace will drag on the sill as it opens. I had to use some shims to lift up and avoid this. But - final result is very satisfactory and I have a nice looking fixture instead of a metal door starting to rust. Nice blend with the satin nickel door hardware.

Simple and basic – works great
Well made of sturdy aluminum. Requires cutting to fit most doors. A Dremel with a Cut-off wheel for metal works nicely.Applying calk to the back when mounting ensures a watertight seal. My preference is DAP Dynaflex, as it's more durable than other forms of calk, including 100% silicone. After years of trying this kind or that, Dynaflex is now the only kind of calk I ever buy–period. Also, when using any sort of sealant/calk/etc, ensure the surfaces are very clean. Isopropyl alcohol is preferred, as it cleans well and leaves no residue, unlike many common household cleaners. When mounting, ensure there is clearance wherever the door will swing. You might want to use a couple small strips of duck tape to hold it in place until it's permanently attached. There was a big thunderstorm here today. Not a single drop made it inside the front door. YAY!!!
