Initially, I bought it as a bedside lamp, hoping for that perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality. While it didn't quite hit the mark there, I'm glad I gave it a chance because it has found its sweet spot elsewhere in my home.The lamp itself is a part of the Govee ecosystem, which I've dabbled in before with their LED strip lights. Those lasted for years and worked like a charm, so I had high hopes for this lamp. It didn't disappoint. The setup was quick, and the app is a breeze to navigate. I love that I can control the lighting from my tablet, adjusting the brightness and colors with ease.Speaking of colors, this lamp offers a plethora of options. From cozy "reading" modes to vibrant "leisure" settings, it's a playground for creating the perfect ambiance. I particularly enjoy the music sync feature, which adds an extra layer of fun to my space. And let's not forget the DIY options for crafting custom scenes – while I may not use them extensively, it's a nice touch for those creative moments.One thing that stood out to me is the gradual transition when turning the light on or changing colors. It's not harsh on the eyes and adds a touch of sophistication to the experience. The lamp's brightness is just right, permeating the room without overwhelming it.Now, onto the design. It's sleek, modern, and fits seamlessly into my decor. The touch controls on top are handy, offering a tactile way to adjust settings without reaching for my phone every time. And of course, the smart compatibility is a game-changer. Being able to integrate it with Alexa for voice commands feels like living in the future.I do want to address the concern some users have about the lamp flashing. I haven't experienced that issue personally, but it's worth mentioning as it could be a drawback for some.In summary, the Govee RGBIC Table Lamp has become a cherished addition to my living space. Before this holiday season, I've never heard of Govee. I bought some bulbs and this this table lamp from them - bulbs for our living room, table lamp for our daughter's room for Christmas.I absolutely plan on checking out Govee for any new smart lighting from here on out. This lamp is bright at full power, colors are vibrant, and it meets every single requirement I had and then some.

It is very nicely built. Great design and works great. The app let's you change color, intensity, scenarios, and create your own. It also allows you to configure actions and schedule them and/or add them to Siri or other digital assistants. It is cool to have it light up automatically when the sun goes down with whatever light configuration you have chosen. Also can light up remotely via WiFi. If you leave town for a few days and want to prevent the house from looking empty, you can light up.The light is suitable as a table light. It won't illuminate a room or a part of the room. Obviously, if you put maximum intensity, it lights up more but it may need too bright if you look at it as it is concentrated. Makes sense as it is a table light, but you should know if you intend to use it for a room lamp.In the end it is a good product but the cost may be a bit much for the use you may end up giving it. Why am I say that? I bought two, one for each room, to be used as a secondary lamp. In the end I will have to buy another lamp to illuminate that part of the room and keep those as secondary lights or for night light when winding down.

The media could not be loaded. This lamp is amazing. It works with a simple light on or light off with my Echo Spot. And I can even ask Alexa to dim it. The app has a bunch of preset live-moving scenes that actually work really well and it’s so therapeutic! Lol I love this thing, but I’m praying that it will last me and won’t die like other reviews that I’ve seen. Buy it! The software is top notch! They even have a “night light” mode if you want it on while you sleep. There’s a sound-sync mode that syncs the light to music. Very cool. It doesn’t fill up the entire room with light. This is mainly an accent light and is one made specifically for relaxation and for staring at. It’s so cool. Please give it a try. You can also dim it. Both me, my brother, and my dad were kind of blown away by this thing. Turn off your lights before you use it to get the full effect. I will only use this thing after sunset (or in a dark room) because it’s not super bright, but it is soo vibrant and bright when it’s the only light on in a dark room. Very cool and reminds me of my old lava lamp.. but more futuristic 😁 Praise the Lord for His knowledge that allows us to build cool things like this lamp. It’s light is jaw dropping for real.
