Brother ScanNCut DX Vinyl Auto Blade

I noticed a few conflicting reads about these blades and here's the skinny. Most of us buy the bulk HTV rolls based upon best price and not a singular brand. Fact is they all will cut differently based upon thickness and backing stiffness regardless of blade. Your OEM DX BLACK DISPENSER uses ITEM #CADXBLD1 (0.1-3 MM cuts). This precision replacement blade IS FOR THE BLUE VINYL SPECIFIC DISPENSER. These blades are different shaft diameters and will wobble if you put the vinyl blue precision blade in your oem black dispenser. So first timer purchase buy yourself the complete blue combo kit with blade and matching dispenser. Then buy your separate matching blades after that. This finer tip smaller blue blade ITEM #CADXBLBV1 will cut better provided you use it in the desired/intended blue holder. Regardless, the brand and quality of your HTV will ultimately be the determining factor on smooth like butter cuts and help to eliminate your design hairies. Hope this helps!

Forget the standard blade, unless you're into cutting paper cutouts. For stickers, and other material, this vinyl blade is a dream. This blade makes a world of a difference because stickers with added laminate cut like butter with this blade. Just grabbed a second one because you never know what the heck Brother decides to discontinue these days.

I needed to get a blade that could intricately cut through vinyl for t-shirts. This one did the trick. It fit my brother's scan n cut perfectly and did exactly what I needed it to do. It cuts precisely and without ragged edges. When this one goes dull, I will re-purchase. It is a legitimate brother's product.

I have been making a lot of vinyl projects lately and the blade is really holding up well. Most of my projects have small letters and the blade handles the jobs very well. Haven’t had to replace it yet, just carefully clean it once in awhile.

I bought two of these as replacement blades for my snc sdx230dx. I have been cutting a lot of vinyl and felt I should get a fresh blade and an extra blade. Got these and will use them when needed.

As usual great quality. I wore my autoblade out so needed a replacement.

This blade is awesome just really wished Brother would make their blades last longer. After 100 cuts you have to replace them or it can shred your design
