For the case itself, I found the material quality to be excellent, and the transparency is exactly the same as my ancient GB Color from back in the day. The texture is about the same as the stock controllers, albeit maybe a tiny bit more textured...hard to describe it, but it works fine for me. I didn't run into any issues with the plastic parts fitting together, and the electronics popped into the new case perfectly fine. The little set of tools provided with the kit was also very much appreciated, as well as the additional black D-pad button if you want to keep all the buttons stock. As for the process of changing the case, other reviewers are 100% correct about the process being really, really fiddly: the controllers are filled with delicate ribbon cables + their fragile connectors, the tiny springs for the shoulder buttons can easily pop off and disappear into the void, and keeping track of all the microscopic screws can be daunting if you're not organized. For what it's worth, I'm an adult who's a complete novice to controller mods and such, and it probably took me ~3 hours of focused attention in total. However, there are plenty of videos and guides out there for disassembling/reassembling switch controllers, and it's straightforward enough that you should be fine as long as you take it nice and slow. This kit also provides a few backup screws and springs in case things get lost, which is a huge plus. (The extra springs were especially appreciated!) If you're still interested, here's some tips from my experience: * One extra tool that helped me immensely with the ribbon cable connectors was a set of fine, non-conductive tweezers. You could probably do all of the cable stuff with fingernails, but everything was way too small for my fat digits, and the tweezers helped a lot. Maybe avoid using normal bathroom tweezers (the risk of accidentally shorting out something feels really high), but I think a wooden toothpick or bamboo skewer would also help in a pinch. * I used an empty ice cube tray for keeping track of all the little screws and components, and it worked really well...just don't knock it over halfway through, like I did :P * You shouldn't need to force anything when taking it apart or putting it back together. If you find yourself having to tug on something hard, or really push to get something to fit together, triple check that everything has been inserted/positioned correctly. The buttons are easy to install/reinstall backwards, especially the SL/SR buttons on the rail. * All of the screws are inserted directly into the plastic, which means you need to be careful about over-tightening: if you screw it in too hard, the metal screw will just munch the plastic, and nothing will hold anymore. Everything should still be snug, just don't go overboard. * I read somewhere about people struggling with undoing the Y screws on the outside of the case, but I didn't have any problems with it. Just apply a little pressure downwards while turning, and take it really slow, and you should be fine.

The Shells replacement from eXtremeRate are the best shell replacements in the market, the offer some options for the aesthetic of the control, some buttons to be replaced with a different color or like in the joycons, changing the awful left joycon individual butons for the D-pad, to a real D-pad, you have different color options as well, transpared or solid colors, the build quality is really good, the plastic is firm and solid, is not cheap plastic like other options.

Volvería a comprarlos? Si, pero sabiendo que hay que ser muy meticuloso con el montaje. Además el destornillador no es de muy buena calidad.
