Masters of the Universe Origins Mer-Man 5.5-in Action Figure, Battle Figure for Storytelling Play and Display, Gift for 6 to 10-Year-Olds and Adult Collectors

Mer-Man is one of the essential figures of the original Masters of the Universe 80's line. This figure is very similar to the 80's version with added articulation, minus the the waist twist action feature and no rubber bands used to hold the legs together as the original one did. The colors are also different, to the point that the colors schemes on these new figures are much more vibrant and pop. This line is currently in production and you should be able to find these very easily at the $14.99 retail price. Avoid paying scalper prices, there really needs to be an end that practice. Scalpers tend to buy up all the available product, artificially inflating their prices by creating scarcity. Luckily, Mattel is still producing these , so be patient and don't give in to their ransom.

As a child we loved Masters of the Universe and over the years so has our children. We ordered this for our daughter who loves all the bad guys as she calls them from the series. The quality was great and the shipping was fast but the pricing for these figures have went very high and I do think it is a shame that a child's toy goes up on price because there are collectors out there who buy them up and then sell them at a profit instead of making it easier for a parent to just buy a toy for the child to enjoy. Most of the time older people buy figures let them set on a shelf and collect dust to where as a child gets hours of fun imaginative play out of them.

I love the upgraded articulation on these Origins figures. Minimal paint, but well applied.

Great item as described with fast shipping

This is good if you wish to open and display your figure. But if you are a serious collector just know this is what I received. And for over the retail price non the less. Luckily I plan to open and display. But others may not. Save yourself a headache with returns and do better on what you send. Or at least let the customer know it's not collector grade.

This turned out to be a much nicer figure than expected. Mer-Man was the only one of the originals MOTU figures that I never owned as a child, so of course he is now my favorite as an adult. The MOTU Origins figures capture the stylistic feel of the originals with just enough added articulation to make them strike surprisingly solid poses. Love it! The plan was to only grab one or two of them, but now I'm not so sure; do I have room for Castle Grayskull in the display...?

Another amazing Masters of the Universe Origins release! All the fun and excitement from the original 1980s MOTU toyline, with updated poseability for dynamic action poses! A great way to revisit He-Man, Skeletor, and all their friends, or else introduce your kids to one of the greatest action figure lines off all time!
