Q: Does this come with the boom mic?

To be clear, it does not come with a boom mic AND there is no way to attach one (unlike the previous version). In case you're wondering if this makes you sound terrible to the person you're talking to? YES it is awful. I have to yell for the other person to hear me and good luck if there is any noise in the environment. They sound great to me, but does me no good if they can't hear me at all.

Q: Does it come with the microphone or is that a separate purchase?

It has the same kind of built in mic that is inside of wireless earbuds. definitely not High quality, but it exists.
