On occasion I find something I have purchased to be not quite good enough, or even not satisfactory at all, but this is NOT it!! I have several types of sea salt on hand all of which I use. Generally, I use the more colorful salts for presentation purposes as well as the seasoning. So, to say that this salt is dramatic, is an understatement! The salt is darker pink than most others I have used and I consider that to be a plus."The high mineral Himalayan salt crystals range in color from sheer white to varying shades of pink to deep reds which indicates a beneficial amount of 84 trace elements & iron." This is a direct quote from the expanded product description. I have no way to verify that statement, but the part about the colors is definitely a perfect description. I would hope that the rest of it about the minerals is also true. I find the salt to be very nicely flavored. Yes, this salt is definitely different than "regular" table salt or store bought "kosher" or "sea" salt." It is wonderfully subtle and provides a very distinct sensation in the mouth when used "whole grain." I love the flavor it imparts and the comments I hear about the beautiful color when it is on the table in a grinder. I think salts, particularly sea salts, have recently come into style. The health benefits of the minerals and the natural state of this salt make it a particularly interesting variation.I have seen and heard some comments about this salt (and others like it..) being too expensive. Well, if you believe in organic foods, why not organic salt..??? In reality, this salt is quite reasonable in price (at least right now..). I also seem to use less of it....not certain why that is....maybe because of the flavor profile..?? But in any event, I don't find it to be excessively expensive. I don't mind paying a little more for a nicer product.So, get some to try out in your grinder on the table, as well as a finishing salt....Use it two ways!!Five stars for a very nice product, well packaged, and true to the description. I am very, very pleased.

This salt is good and delivery was fast. I use it every morning when I wake up and drink water with a small amount just a pinch for health reasons to start the day. The body needs these trace elements in natural salt y to do help kickstart tfe body’s daily regeneration process. It s a great way to just have a glass of water with it. It tastes great is I use it in my cooking as well.
