Is the red true red or more pink?

Yes they can be seen on black paper due to its glitter

Does the glitter stay on? I have some glitter pens that shed a bit of glitter.

I haven't found that the glitter rubs off but they do smear so be careful and let ink dry. I checked on my older writings and the glitter is still noticeable and distinctive. These pens are one of my favorites and I often give them as gifts to appreciative friends and family.
