Can Batman sit in the vehicle?

No, the included Batman figure is a nice accompanying piece but does not sit in the Batmobile. Of all three Batmobile in this line, the only one that has a figure sitting in the car is the 1966 one. The Adam West Batman only stands but Robin is seated (and not removable) in the passenger seat, using the Bat-phone. I have all four of these and they're really nice for the cost and display very nicely either in or out of the packaging.

Can a lego batman fig fit inside the car? Would that work?
