Q: How long is each stick in inches?

I just measured one and it is 9 1/4 inches.

Q: Will insense set off a smoke alarm? And how can I stop the insense from burning!

I live in a small apt. No it doesn’t set the alarm off. You can wet the tips of your fingers or dip it in water

Q: I have never used incense sticks before. If I put the tip in water to put out embers, can that watered end be lit up again?

I use the 19" sticks and put them out with a mister bottle. I have done this many times and have no idea why someone would say no. I spray them and then lay them out on a ceramic tray for fire safety. They can be relit when dry. Generally in 24 hours. I can tell no difference in aromatic quality when they are relit. The charred end actually reaches an ember faster than when they were first lit.
