Very Nice Kettle
Definitely a little pricey but it works and looks great. I can heat water to the perfect temp for tea or french press and the volume is comparable to most cheaper kettles.

Good product, well made
Been a regular kettle person forever, but bought this to make pour-over coffee because my old kettle was too clunky to pour accurately enough. It's pretty great - clean, fast, lightweight. Two small issues: it's hard to read the maximum level mark on the inside unless the light is just right, and, when you have used the water up, you have to turn the machine off instantly when you return the kettle to the base, or it will start beeping and won't stop until you unplug it and leave it unplugged for a while.

My Go-To Kettle for Coffee and Tea
I was looking for an electric kettle with a digital temperature gauge, and since I’ve had Cuisinart products in the past, it was my go-to brand—Cuisinart offers longer warranties than most other manufacturers. This kettle has a 3-year warranty, while most other brands only offer 1 year.Things I like about the kettle include being able to set a temperature and having the heating stop automatically. I like being able to set different temperatures for different uses. I mainly use it for coffee (in an Aeropress) and for black tea, which I set to 180°.There is one major flaw I wish I had known about before purchasing: when the power goes out, the digital temperature resets to 212°, so I have to reset it to 180° every time. A backup battery, like in digital clocks, would easily fix this. Another dislike is the temperature range—the kettle can reach 212° for boiling, but the lowest setting is 140°.I also heat water for active dry yeast when making bread. Since water above 120° kills the yeast, I have to watch the temperature carefully and remove it before it gets too high.

Great kettle; confusing safety feature
5 Stars for usability;3 Stars for design of safety function. We got this Kettle since we are making our own pour-over coffee lately. We picked the kettle because of its 1L capacity, which fits our 4 cup morning requirement. The settings, the quality of the pot, and how it keeps the water at set temperature we really like and appreciate. It has safety features too - like checking for over-temperature… and here is where the problem appears, operationally. It looks like if the kettle goes over temperature, the power control flashes, and a warning message. It doesn’t appear you can turn this off. The first time, we unplugged the device, plugged it back in, and set our desired temperature again (a nice thing: it remembers your last temp setting from day to day). The second time this happened - it was after the final pour of the remaining water we use for coffee, and after we’d turned the device off and it was off for a minute or so. Frustrated, I took the kettle off the base, waited, only to find the power lockout, and warning message. I then poured a little cold water in the kettle - the warning ceased, and the power light went off. It seems for safety, they warn of over-temperature even after shutting down. That’s reasonable, given the electronic (not mechanical) controls. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen, so be aware of this (we set 205F for pour-over coffee). The kettle, construction, and use we like a lot. This is a minor annoyance, once you understand what it is trying to protect against. That it comes on some time after powering off can be confusing - but we get it.Edit after long time using:We’ve come to this pattern of use, which seems to work:When (after) we make the last pour out of the kettle, we now do this, and have not seen a “over temperature” alert since:- turn off the base immediately after replacing empty kettle- take the lid off kettleApparently the evaporation at the end cools it, and also leaves the insides dry (a nice shiny dry). We replace the lid after everything has dried (say, after we’ve finished our coffee).

This is a excellent "electric tea kettle"!
Needing to eliminate the traffic jam on our stove top caused by both a "gooseneck" kettle as well as a traditional tea kettle. We chose the Cuisinart kettle because we wanted a "gooseneck" kettle for pour over coffee as well as for making tea. I'm pretty sure that the Cuisinart uses induction technology for heating as there is no direct electrical cable or connection on the kettle itself. This unit heats water very fast - virtually no waiting for this guy. One feature we did not expect is that you can pre-select the temperature that you want for your tea or coffee. Their instruction booklet suggests 212 for most teas, 195 - 205 for most coffees and 175 for brewing green tea. Once you start the kettle it shows you the current water temp as well as your target temp. Once it reaches the target temperature, it holds that temperature for 10 mins or more. We didn't know that we needed these features, but sure are enjoying them. The Cuisinart electric tea kettle, with gooseneck, is well designed and well made. We chose the black version which looks great on our countertop. No more waiting for the kettle to boil on your stovetop. The Cuisinart will beat it every time.
