Fluker's Ceramic Heat Emitter for Reptiles

While I did return this bulb, it was because it was too effective. My gecko only needed moderate heat, and this bulb could get to the required temperature in less than a minute. If you have a pet that needs more heat, has a larger area, or is farther from the bulb, then this will do the trick. I definitely recommend a thermostat so you do not cook your pet, because this thing gets really hot really fast.

This is a direct replacement bulb because the first one burnt out within 5 minutes. This one was gone within 3! The bottom glowed up bright orange then gone. Must be a faulty batch? My bulb holder is up to 250W and this bulb is only a 150W I bought this white ceramic heat emitting bulb because apparently Fluker’s is a very good brand. I put it in vivarium but within 5 minutes it started glowing orange and then popped. When I took it out it had a hole and a melted patch on the bottom of the bulb. Amazon were amazing though, they sent me out next day a free replacement. Not tried the new one yet because I bought a cheap £8 black one and it’s perfect.

It melted within minutes on using. Very dissapointed
