The Saving Name of God the Son (Teaching the Language of the Faith: Blessed Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit)

I purchased this book for our grandson to look at during Mass. The story is a beautiful explanation of the Faith and the illustrations are lovely works of art. This really is a gorgeous book! The last page tells you what each piece of art is called & who the artist is. I highly recommend this book for all Catholic children.

I am having a very hard time finding Catholic board books that don't have insipid, dumbed-down wording and uninspiring pictures. This is a rare exception. Another reviewer has posted pictures of the classical artwork you'll find inside, and the words are actually based on scripture. If you're looking for a board book that will actually expose young children to real art and liturgy, this might be one of your only options out there. Love it.

I bought this for my 2 year old as an Easter gift, and I couldn't be happier! It's just the right size for small hands and he enjoys it. In fact, out of all the board books in his basket (which contains many popular secular and religious titles), he singles out this one at naptime and says, "Mommy, read Name of God." I love that the words of our Catholic faith are already becoming ingrained into his mind and heart. I also love the artwork and find it nourishing to my soul as well. In agreement with a previous review, I think this book would be appropriate for Lutherans, Episcopalians/ Anglicans, and possibly Methodists as well (creedal protestants who are not iconoclastic).

I'm a Lutheran and I love this book. Its theological themes include the incarnation, the real presence of Christ in the Sacrament, the vicarious atonement, the resurrection, and eschatology. It is packed with Scripture and its beauty befits the topic.

This awesome board book has been my now three-year-olds favorite board book since she received it at the age of one. The illustrations are beautiful, the text is simple but theologically sound and thus meaningful. She has it memorized and understands the majority of it. We love it so much that we have purchased it for our godson as well.

There is a typo, but I will forgive it because this book is so awesome. It's my go-to gift for Catholic friends who have babies.

The book arrived promptly and in perfect condition. It is far too advanced for my 4-, 3-, and 1-year old grandchildren, but it is beautiful. I will save it until they are ready.
